Atlanta, Georgia – The Under Armour Circuit is back at the Lakepoint Sports and Events Center for the first July NCAA Live Evaluation Period. There are players and college coaches as far as the eye can see. On3 is courtside watching all the day one action.

1:30 PM Grand Park (IN) vs. Arizona Select (AZ)

Joey Hart is an intriguing prospect for Grand Park. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard is a noted scorer, he does not force anything and has a complete skill set, able to pass, shoot, and handle in the half court. He showed the shot-making in this game, but what impressed the most was in crunch time, Hart wanted the ball and looked to make things happen.

Every midwestern mid-major is recruiting Hart, and the majority of them were in the stands. Hart also had coaches from Virginia Tech, NC State, Central Florida, Duquesne, George Washington, and others peeking in. Hart finished with 20 points, knocking down three threes. His July will be an interesting one to follow, some stuff could pop.

Arizona Select featured a pair of 2023 prospects who finished with 18 points and some flashes. 6-foot-2 lead guard Vincent Delano of Phoenix (AZ) Phhoenix Prep and 6-foot-7 forward Jahki Gupton of Gilbert (AZ) Eduprise High. Both carry multiple mid-major offers and are worth tracking to see how they produce as the weekend continues.

2:45 PM Team Curry (NC) vs. Marcus Denmon Elite (MO)

2023 On3 No. 9 Silas Demary, Jr. is coming off a first-team All-NBPA Top 100 camp showing. He picked up a Tennessee offer off that performance last week and got new calls from the likes of Alabama, Memphis, and others.

Rick Barnes is front and center for Demary, Jr.’s first game of the five-day weekend. So is St. John’s head coach Mike Anderson, who Demary, Jr. visited. Wake Forest head coach Steve Forbes was courtside. Assistant coaches from NC State, VCU, South Florida, Ohio State, SMU, Virginia Tech, Virginia, Clemson, and Southern Cal were also in the crowd.

The North Carolina-based Team Curry roster has ten players being recruited at the D-I level. So 70-plus college coaches, mostly low and mid-major were courtside watching. 6-foo-9 Riley Allenspach and 6-foot-7 Avion Pinner are two players who carry a number of varying offers.

Demary, Jr. finished with eight points in the 25 point win. Riley Allenspach and Avion Pinner each finished with a team high 12.

5:15 PM KC Run GMC (KS) vs. Hooptown Elite (WA)

KC Run GMC feature two of the UAA circuit’s hottest prospects coming into the event with 4-star Carey Booth and 3-star Parker Friedrichsen. The coaches responded as well as there was a baseline full.

The 6-foot-10 Booth, who is the son of former NBA center Calvin Booth, has taken two official visits Penn State and Marquette. Both Micah Shrewsberry and Shaka Smart were very visible, each with assistants at their side.

Those two were not alone watching, Purdue’s Matt Painter, Northwestern’s Chris Collins, Miami’s Jim Larranaga, Michigan’s Juwan Howard, and Cal’s Mark Fox were among the head coaches in tow.

The duo brought a slew of assistants to the gym as well. Logos from Boston College, Cincinnati, Stanford, Pittsburgh, Memphis, Iowa, Clemson, Ohio State, Virginia Tech, and Colorado were visible.

New Virginia commit, No. 115 Blake Buchanan finished with a double-double in the overtime win. Lead recruiter Kyle Getter was courtside smiling ear to ear.

6:30 PM We R 1 (DE) vs. Illinois Wolves (IL)

Coming into the event, one of the names I circled was 4-star Elmarko Jackson. The 6-foot-4 We R 1 point guard is coming off a standout NBPA TOp 100 camp, with recent offers coming from Villanova, Nebraska, and Michigan.

Jackson finished with a team-high 16 points, including the pull up jumper that sealed the win. Michigan’s Juwan Howard and Miami’s Jim Larranaga were court side. Texas, Southern Cal, Ohio State, Dayton, Cincinnati, Seton Hall, Maryland, Villanova, VCU, and others were also in line for the show.

Illinois Wolves were led by a pair of 3-star wings in Cam Christie and Asa Thomas. Northwestern’s Chris Collins was present as well as Minnesota’s Ben Johnson along with two assistants. Stanford, Clemson, Michigan State, Pittsburgh, Iowa State, and DePaul also had logos in the building. Christie had a game high 19 and Thomas finished with 13.

6:30 PM Middlesex Magic (MA) vs. Canada Elite (CAN)

The coaches were deep for No. 21 JP Estrella, and he put on his typical show. However, before we jump into that, we need to note that 6-foot-3 2023 Vasean Allette finished this one with 45 points. He knocked down seven threes and was 7 for 9 from the free-throw line.

The main-attraction was 6-foot-11 JP Estrella. Orignially from Maine, the Middlesex Magic center will be attending Wolfeboro (NH) Brewster Academy next year. He finished this one with 19 points, 12 rebounds, and four blocks. It was another impressive showing, coming off an On3 first-team All-NBPA Top 100 camp performance.

Duke’s Jon Scheyer was court-side with a pair of assistants. Tennessee’s Rick Barnes and Marquette’s Shaka Smart each had assistants with them. Michigan’s Juwan Howard was peeking in on Estrella along with assistants from Syracuse and Louiville. It is becoming a full on blow up for On3’s No. 21 player in the 2023 class.
