Seven-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback Tom Brady threw the final touchdown pass of his career on Jan. 23 versus the Los Angeles Rams. Wideout Mike Evans caught the 55-yard touchdown pass and proceeded to give the ball away to a fan, as he typically does.

That ball sold on Saturday night at a Lelands auction – for a whopping sum. Brady’s final touchdown ball sold for $518,628.

Earlier this season, Mike Evans gave away Tom Brady’s 600th touchdown pass ball. In return for the ball, the Buccanneers gave the fan: two signed jerseys, a Brady helmet, an autographed Mike Evans jersey, his game cleats, a $1,000 credit for the team store, and two passes for the 2021 season and 2022 seasons. Many estimated that ball would have sold for at least half a million as well.

Despite losing his $27 million per year salary as an NFL quarterback, Brady is currently expanding his health and clothing companies, TB12 and BRADY brand. He’s also shooting a movie, doing media appearances, and more, on top of his cryptocurrency and NFT ventures.

Tom Brady addresses plans on future post-retirement

Brady recently discussed his initial plans following his retirement from football after a two-decade-plus career.

“I tell you, I wish I had a clear vision of what the future holds,” Brady said. “but I think for me, there’s a lot of great things and a lot of great opportunities that, I know I said right after football season I was looking forward to spending time with my family. And I’ve done that the last five weeks, and I know there’ll be a lot more of that, too. So, you know, I like staying busy, that’s for sure.”

Brady’s first plan — visiting his parents at his childhood home in San Mateo, California. After that? It seems even Brady doesn’t know the answer to that question.

“[I’m] looking forward to that, looking forward to some golf in the next few days and some more family time,” he said. “And then we’ll figure out where we go from there.”

Brady is acting and producing 80 for Brady, a film centered around Super Bowl LI, according to The Hollywood Reporter. He joins Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Rita Moreno, and Sally Field in the starring roles. It will be his first big move since retiring from football. The timetable for the production has not been announced yet, though.

Inspired by a true story, 80 for Brady tells the tale of four best friends doubling as New England Patriots fans that are set to embark on a life-changing trip to the 2017 Super Bowl LI to see their hero, Tom Brady play. Chaos ensues as they navigate the wilds of the biggest sporting event in the world.

Brady himself was deeply involved in the inception of this film making it to the silver screen and developed it with Donna Gigliotti and Endeavor Content.
