The Los Angeles Rams acquired Von Miller during this past season from the Denver Broncos. Los Angeles won a Super Bowl with Miller starring on defense. But now, Miller could be eyeing a return to the Broncos once he hits free agency in the coming weeks.

Miller teased a possible return to the Broncos on his Instagram story on Monday, and Pro Football Focus reporter Ari Meirov tweeted the images from Miller’s story. One post is questioning which jersey number he should wear in Broncos colors, and the other was a pretty clear message.

“I wonder if they will give me my old locker back?” Miller asked.

NFL reporter Dov Kleiman reported on Monday that Miller is between a few teams ahead of free agency, with both the Broncos and Rams in the mix.

“Von Miller is expected to decide between staying with the #Rams or sign with the #Chargers, #Packers or returning to the #Broncos,” Kleiman tweeted.

Miller played in eight regular season games after being acquired by the Broncos this past season. In those games, he totaled 31 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, eight quarterback hits, five sacks, one forced fumble, and one passes defended. In four playoff games on the Super Bowl run, Miller totaled 14 tackles, six tackles for loss, six quarterback hits, four sacks, one fumble recovery, one forced fumble, and one pass defended.

Miller also took to Twitter himself on Monday, further suggesting that he is interested in a return to Denver.

Miller has had a storied career with the Broncos

The Broncos originally drafted Miller second overall in the 2011 NFL Draft out of Texas A&M. With Denver, miller played in 142 regular season games, racking up 490 tackles with 142 tackles for loss, 225 quarterback hits, 110.5 sacks, 26 forced fumbles, nine fumble recoveries, and two interceptions. He won a Super Bowl in 2015, and had five sacks in three games during that postseason.

Miller is an eight-time Pro Bowler, three-time All-Pro, and now a two-time Super Bowl champion. He was the Super Bowl 50 MVP in 2015, and was named the AP Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2011.

After the Rams won the Super Bowl, it was reported that they were interested in long-term extensions for Matthew Stafford, Odell Beckham Jr., and Miller. The Rams acquired all three veterans over the past year, with Stafford being the only one of the three joining the team prior to the start of the season.

But now, it appears that the Broncos are right there in the mix for Miller, with free agency opening in mid-March.
