Las Vegas Raiders’ defensive end Maxx Crosby is one of the most dominant players at his position in the National Football League. A player of his caliber is undoubtedly going to draw a ton of attention from opposing offenses. Recently, on a podcast with Barstool Sports, Crosby decided to call out Chargers’ defensive end Joey Bosa for whining about being held on a play in this year’s playoffs against the Jaguars.

Crosby was not happy with the meltdown and had some NSFW words for the former Buckeye. He basically said star defensive players are going to get held, you just have to deal with it, and move on.

Check it out below.

“Couple games ago when ****** dude had a meltdown blaming the refs. I see dudes blaming ***** o-lineman all the time. Refs don’t call it. Like, I’ll never be that guy bro…..You know ****** like that is so weak to me. Like, you’re gonna get held. I know. I get held all the time, bro. You watch the Rams last drive against us, bro. I was getting literally tackled, but I’m not gonna go and double down and go look like a little ***** crybaby. You know what I mean? That’s not me….” Crosby said on the podcast.

He makes great points. Plenty of calls aren’t going to go your way. That’s part of sports. Sucking it up and moving onto the next play is the best policy. Joey Bosa allowing his emotions to boil over against the Jacksonville Jaguars cost his team dearly in the 2023 NFL Playoffs. He’s simply too good of a player for to allow that to happen in that spot. It’s a wise lesson for Bosa to learn to manage his emotions in critical situations in the future. However, it’s highly unlikely that things will change for the former Ohio State star, as he’s routinely ripped NFL officials over the years and just paid the fine.

Maxx Crosby turned his life around and has become a dominant force in the National Football League

Nearly three years ago, on March 11, 2020, Maxx Crosby turned his life around and officially got sober. On Friday, March 11, 2022, the Las Vegas Raiders signed their star defensive end to a four-year, $98.98 million contract extension. The deal was worth $95 million in new money and $53 million guaranteed, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

This season, Crosby was yet again a dominant force, racking up 12.5 sacks (tied for 8th in the NFL) and three forced fumbles (tied for 6th in the league), while tallying 89 total tackles. Not only that, he also added four pass deflections and a fumble recovery.

During the 2021-2022 season, Crosby racked up 56 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, and seven passes defended. Per PFF, Crosby’s pressure stats during the 2021 season ranked among some of the greatest defenders the game has ever seen. The former Eastern Michigan star had 100 pressures during the 2021-2022 season, the third most recorded since 2006. The two players ahead of him were: J.J. Watt (119 pressures in 2014) and Aaron Donald (106 pressures in 2018). The most sacks he’s recorded in a season during his three years in the league was 10 during the 2019-2020 season.

While at Eastern Michigan, Crosby cemented his name as one of the greatest defenders ever to suit up at the school. Crosby racked up 41 career tackles for loss and 20 career sacks, both of which ranked second in the Eastern Michigan record books.
