Mel Kiper releases updated Big Board for the 2023 NFL Draft ahead of Week 10 of college football

With approximately two thirds of the college football season wrapped up, ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper has released an updated Top 25 Big Board for the 2023 draft class with a few notable changes. Alabama edge rusher Will Anderson Jr. is, unsurprisingly, still atop the board — but there are some interesting risers and fallers behind.

Kiper doesn’t have a quarterback until No. 3 and it isn’t Alabama quarterback Bryce Young — who is his QB3 on the latest big board. While that might be a reflection of a number of NFL teams being a no-go on Young due to his diminutive stature, it’s an eyebrow raising decision in any regard.

There are also three offensive tackles, all from the Big Ten, on Kiper’s Big Board — the highest-ranking being Northwestern’s Peter Skoronski at No. 6.

The biggest jump up the board — for a player already ranked — came from Notre Dame tight end Michael Mayer who rose from No. 16 to No. 8.

A bevy of players have jumped into Kiper’s Top 25 after strong Octobers: Tennessee wideout Jalin Hyatt, Texas Tech defensive end Tyree Wilson, TCU wideout Quentin Johnston, Texas A&M defensive back Antonio Johnson, Michigan edge Mike Morris, Penn State offensive tackle Olu Fashanu and Florida State defensive end Jared Verse.
