Saint Peters (Mo.) Lutheran of St Charles County 2024 offensive tackle Talan Chandler is about to embark on a busy March and April. His schedule will take him all over the Midwest and Midlands.

After helping Lutheran win the Class 2A state championship this past season, Chandler is one of the top sophomore offensive line prospects in the Midlands. While he’s still searching for his first official offer, that’s likely about to change after he takes more trips.

The visit tour for Talan Chandler begins this weekend with a stop in Columbia. This will be his fifth visit to Missouri since he emerged on the Tigers’ recruiting radar.

“I’m very excited to get back up to Mizzou,” Chandler said. “I love the coaches. I can’t wait to get back up there and get closer with the coaches and check out the facilities again. It’s a fun time to go see the colleges and just listen to the coaches and hear what they have to say.”

Up next on the schedule is a return visit to Kansas State on March 10. It, too, will be his fifth time in Manhattan.

“Their facilities are amazing,” Chandler said about K-State. “I’m excited to be able to get up there and see Coach (Conor) Riley in action. I’m just excited to spend some time around them.”

Talan Chandler’s next visits in March are to Memphis on March 24 and Vanderbilt on March 26. He’s been to Memphis three other times. But this will be his first visit to Vanderbilt, and it’s a trip he’s fired up about.

“If I’m being honest, the one visit I’m looking forward to the most is Vandy,” Chandler said. “I really like their education piece, and coach A.J. Blazek has shown me a lot of interest. He has a lot of commonalities with me and my family.”

Then in April, Talan Chandler will visit Arkansas on April 9, Wisconsin on April 14 and Illinois on April 16.

“Arkansas is a school that I have wanted to visit since I was a little kid,” Chandler said. “So, that’s a fun one. In general, I’m excited to go to every visit just to be able to build that relationship and get to know the coaches better.

“It’s just a great opportunity and I’m blessed. I appreciate these schools showing interest. Because it makes me feel like they trust me. It makes me feel like they want me to be a part of their program. I’m going to go where I’m wanted most and where the education is top tier.”
