National Signing Day: Live updates on top recruits and their decisions

While the December early signing period has usurped much of the excitement that used to surround the February National Signing Day, there’s still plenty of intrigue around the top uncommitted and unsigned recruits in the country.

Two five-star prospects still remain on the board, as well as a handful of late risers with multiple programs in pursuit of them.

Latest National Signing Day News and Updates

7:16 p.m. ET: Four-star quarterback Jaden Rashada has signed with Arizona State. After a long, winding recruitment that included pledges to Florida and Miami, Rashada is headed for Tempe after committing to the Sun Devils earlier today.

6:57 p.m. ET: Three-star interior offensive lineman William Spencer has announced his commitment to Louisville. He chose the Cardinals over Kentucky, Michigan State and Mississippi State.

6:06 p.m. ET: Three-star EDGE DeeJay Holmes has announced his commitment to Ole Miss. His decision helped elevate the Rebels’ 2023 recruiting class.

4:59 p.m. ET: Four-star running back Jeremiah Cobb has signed with Auburn. He originally committed to the Tigers on July 1.

4:44 p.m. ET: Three-star defensive lineman Jamel Howard has recommitted to Wisconsin. He previously decommitted from the Badgers on Nov. 17.

4:01 p.m. ET: Three-star wide receiver Devin Hyatt has committed to Arizona. He chose the Wildcats over Alabama, Kentucky and Tennessee among others.

3:47 p.m. ET: Three-star quarterback Marcus Stokes has committed and signed with West Florida. He was originally pledged to Florida and Penn State.

3:26 p.m. ET: Four-star wide receiver Ja’Kobi Lane has signed with USC. He originally committed to the Trojans on Aug. 26.

3:19 p.m. ET: Four-star offensive tackle Caden Jones has signed with Florida. He originally committed to the Gators on Jan. 7 during the All-American Bowl

3:15 p.m. ET: Tight end Duce Robinson remains the lone unsigned five-star after today, and he is strongly considering his MLB Draft status in his recruiting decision.

2:38 p.m. ET: Long thought to be a package deal, four-star twin brothers Michael Harris and Andrew Harris have chosen different schools. Michael will play at Maryland, while Andrew signed with UCF.

2:30 p.m. ET: Penn State just landed one of the country’s fastest-rising recruits with Dundalk (Md.) offensive tackle Chimdy Onoh. Adds to a great offensive line class for the Nittany Lions.

1:55 p.m. ET: An early start on the 2024 class: Five-star cornerback Ellis Robinson IV chooses Georgia over Alabama and a number of others. Bulldogs jump to No. 1 in the early 2024 rankings.

1:34 p.m. ET: Four-star cornerback Rodrick Pleasant chooses Oregon over USC, giving the Ducks one of the country’s fastest recruits.

1:09 p.m. ET: The top uncommitted recruit in the country, five-star athlete Nyckoles Harbor, makes it official and announces for South Carolina. Gamecocks rise up one spot to No. 16 in the team rankings.

12:31 p.m. ET: In a pretty major upset, USC beats out Georgia and Utah for four-star tight end Walker Lyons. Trojans make a slight move up the rankings from No. 14 to No. 13.

12:10 p.m. ET: Three-star running back L.J. Martin has flipped his commitment to BYU from Stanford.

11:55 a.m. ET: There is a new leader for four-star cornerback Rodrick Pleasant, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, and that team is Oregon.

11:46 a.m. ET: Three-star defensive lineman Jonathan Davis has committed and signed with Mississippi State.

11:33 a.m. ET: Four-star wide receiver Taeshaun Lyons has signed with Washington. On3’s No. 7 recruit out of California has originally committed to the Huskies in December.

11:23 a.m. ET: Three-star tight end Adam Moore has committed to SMU.

11:16 a.m. ET: Mel Tucker and Michigan State add a late riser to their class with three-star cornerback Philipp Davis.

11:12 a.m. ET: Four-star quarterback Jaden Rashada has committed to Arizona State, giving Kenny Dillingham a major piece to build his offense around. Rashada’s commitment pushes Arizona State from No. 54 to No. 42 in the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings.

11:11 a.m. ET: A little less than two hours ahead of Nyckoles Harbor’s scheduled announcement, Oregon has taken the lead in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM).

10:46 a.m. ET: Mississippi State makes a nice late addition to its class with three-star cornerback Will James.

10:16 a.m. ET: One of the top unsigned prospects in the country is now off the board with four-star athlete Mikal Harrison-Pilot inking with Houston.

9:44 a.m. ET: After updates around the recruiting industry, Arizona State is now favored to land four-star quarterback Jaden Rashada, the top uncommitted passer in the country. The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) puts the Sun Devils’ chances at 40.4 percent.

9:35 a.m. ET: With Gilbert in the fold, Kentucky jumps up five spots to No. 30 in the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings. Wildcats also in the mix for three-star interior lineman William Spencer.

9:29 a.m. ET: After a bit of a delay, four-star defensive lineman Kendrick Gilbert has flipped his commitment from Purdue to Kentucky.

9:22 a.m. ET: Nebraska adds another signing with three-star Colorado cornerback D’Andre Barnes, who On3 is higher on than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison.

9:10 a.m. ET: A couple of notable signings thus far. On3 four-star wide receiver Demitrius Bell has locked in with Nebraska, as has fast-rising tight end Ismael Smith Flores, while South Carolina has recent commit Elijah Caldwell signed.

8:08 a.m. ET: We don’t expect changes at the top of the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings today, with Alabama at No. 1, Georgia at No. 2, and Texas, Ohio State and behind them. Teams we are tracking today for possible moves up include Oregon (No. 9), Penn State (No. 13), USC (No. 14), South Carolina (No. 17), Michigan (No. 19), Kentucky (No. 35) and Arizona State (No. 54) with the Sun Devils still in the Jaden Rashada sweepstakes.

7:49 a.m. ET: On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons has updated intel on some of the country’s biggest uncommitted and unsigned names, including Duce Robinson, Jaden Rashada and Nyckoles Harbor as we await their decisions.

7:47 a.m. ET: Four-star defensive lineman Kendrick Gilbert is set to sign bright and early this morning in about 15 minutes. Gilbert has been committed to Purdue since August, but didn’t sign with the Boilermakers in December after the coaching change there. Kentucky has been among the schools pushing heavily to flip him ahead of National Signing Day.
