The early signing period begins today, November 10th, and will last through the 17th. However, the majority of commits that plan on signing early will ink their National Letter of Intent (NLI) today.

Kentucky starting off strong

Yesterday, the No. 1 overall recruit, Shaedon Sharpe, announced that he will enroll early at Kentucky, but will not play until the 2022-23 season.

Sharpe plans to graduate from high school a semester early and will enroll at UK after the fall semester. He plans to work out and practice with the Wildcats but won’t play in any games this year, and will redshirt this season. Kentucky fans will remember this is a familiar situation that occurred with Hamidou Diallo a few years back.

How about Kentucky’s other three five-star commits?

Skyy Clark inked his NLI at 11:15 am ET, and Cason Wallace will make it all official today at 4:30 pm ET.

Chris Livingston made it official around noon today.

Jon Scheyer’s first recruiting class is special

As most fans know, this season will be Coach K’s final year before allowing Jon Scheyer to take the reigns in Durham.

Frankly, the 2022 class is loaded. The Blue Devils will sign their entire four-man class during the early period, highlighted by five-stars Dereck Lively II, Dariq Whitehead, Kyle Filipwoski, and you can’t forget the four-star sharpshooter Jaden Schutt.

Lively, Whitehead, and Schutt all signed today, however, Filipowski is waiting until Friday to sign.

The Tide is rolling

Since taking the head coaching job in 2019, Nate Oats has been on a roll, including on the recruiting trail. For the past couple of years, Oats has brought in roughly a top 15-20 class, which is nothing to scoff at. But this year in 2022, the Tide currently sits with the No. 3 overall class in the country.

The five-man class features five-stars Brandon Miller and Jaden Bradley, four-stars Rylan Griffen and Noah Clowney, not to mention one of the best JUCO transfers Nick Pringle.

Brandon Miller and Jaden Bradley both inked their NLI’s this morning.

Noah Clowney will make it official later today, around 2:30 pm ET.

It is still uncertain whether or not Rylan Griffen will sign during the early period, considering he just committed to the Tide yesterday.

Closing us out, Nick Pringle will also sign at some point today, although the time is unknown.

The Muss Buss

Eric Musselman and the Arkansas Razorbacks have put together a monster 2022 class, currently ranked No. 2 nationally.

The five-man class features five-stars Nick Smith and Jordan Walsh, along with four-stars Derrian Ford, Barry Dunning, and Joseph Pinion.

Jordan Walsh and Barry Dunning both signed this morning. Joseph Pinion will sign this afternoon, and Derrian Ford will sign a little later, on Nov. 14th.

Nick Smith, arguably the most important commitment in the class, is not expected to sign today or during the early period.

Hook ‘Em Horns

Chris Beard and Co. missed out on several targets but were still able to land two key guys in Arterio Morris and Dillon Mitchell.

Texas fans can breathe a sigh of relief after Arterio Morris, a five-star recruit, signed with the Longhorns this morning at 9:30 am CT. Rumors have been swirling involving the G-League and Morris for quite some time. The G-League ignite team is expected to make an offer to Morris towards the end of his senior season, but the current plan and assumption is for Morris to land in Austin.

Four-star Dillon Mitchell is also expected to sign at some point today.

Rock Chalk Jayhawk

Bill Self and Kansas have once again put together a top-5 recruiting class. All four commits of the star-studded class will sign today.

Four-stars Ernest Udeh Jr. and Gradey Dick both signed this morning.

Four-stars MJ Rice and Zuby Ejiofor will sign this afternoon.
