NCAA releases baseball schedule, TV designations for opening regional matchups
The full NCAA Baseball Tournament bracket was unveiled on Monday afternoon, giving everyone a full look at the road to Omaha and the College World Series. Now, the NCAA has released a full schedule including TV designations for the opening games in each regional.
The NCAA’s baseball tournament format starts with a double-elimination round which groups teams into pods of four. At the end, the last team without two losses over the weekend advances. The second round is a best-of-three series between two teams. Then, as the College World Series begins, the double elimination format resumes to produce two teams which play another best-of-three series for the national championship.
