Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase are turning heads throughout the football world. In their first season reunited as teammates, the duo has taken the NFL world by storm.

Many believed their immense chemistry from LSU would carry over to Cincinnati, but nobody could’ve thought Burrow and Chase would have this much success so early. On SiriusXM NFL Radio, Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre praised the young Bengals stars.

“A guy like Joe Burrow is certainly in a different class,” stated Favre. “He’s basically picking up where he left off his last year at LSU. So is [Ja’Marr] Chase.

“That being said, very impressive against an extremely good football team in Kansas City. One that they needed to beat. Kansas City jumps out and looks great. I’m thinking this is over before it even started. But Joe — he got on a hot streak. The rest was history.”

As you can see, Favre is extraordinarily impressed with Burrow and Chase. While the Bengals locked up the AFC North last Sunday, Favre wondered if Cincinnati even expected to turn things around so quick.

“That’s why they drafted Joe. Because of what he did at LSU. They expected the same thing,” stated Favre. “They’ll probably say — the front office will say we expected this right away. But the fact that this happened as quickly as it has – and really the collapse of the rest of the division – has got to be somewhat of a surprise to even the AFC North faithful. I didn’t see it coming.

“But I saw success coming for Joe. I felt like he and Chase would have a good rapport in the pro game. Much like they did in the college game.”

More on Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals

In just his second season with the Bengals, Joe Burrow has returned Cincinnati to the playoffs. The former LSU star and first overall selection has become one of the NFL’s best quarterbacks in the process.

Over the course of the season, Burrow has played at an MVP level. In leading the Bengals to a division title, Burrow accumulated 4,611 yards and 34 touchdowns throwing the football. Additionally, he’s added 118 yards and two touchdowns with his legs.

Moreover, the quality of the victories the Bengals have accumulated is nothing to scoff at. Cincinnati brought out the brooms against their most vaunted rivals — sweeping the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens.

Additionally, Burrow out-dueled the league’s premier signal-caller — defeating the Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes to clinch the division. It was the biggest win in years for the Bengals.

The future is bright in Cincinnati. Heck, the future is now.
