Any time you host the nation’s No. 1 recruit it’s a big deal. But for Alabama, this weekend’s visit list features not just the top 2022 prospect Marvin Jones Jr. but also six other five-star prospects in the senior class.

Jones out of Ft. Lauderdale (Fla.) American Heritage ranks as the No. 1 player in the country, according to On3. He heads to visit the Crimson Tide with Alabama battling Georgia, Ohio State, Oklahoma and Florida State for his commitment. The Seminoles will receive the final official visit on Nov. 13. Oklahoma is very much in the mix for the FSU legacy. And the Crimson Tide gets a chance to make a big push this weekend.

On3 Consensus five-star cornerback and longtime USC commitment Domani Jackson of Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei will also be using a 48-hour, all-expenses-paid-for trip to Alabama this weekend.

The firing of Clay Helton opened the door for Michigan and Alabama. Jackson told On3’s Chad Simmons he cares about stability and being competitive. That’s something that Alabama offers in spades. But still, the On3 flip forecast for Jackson is still at only 5%.

5-star unofficial visitors will be at Alabama

A quintuple of five-star seniors and Alabama commitments will also be making unofficial visits to the Capstone: EDGE Jeremiah Alexander of Alabaster (Ala.) Thompson, quarterback Ty Simpson of Martin (Tenn.) Westview, running back Emmanuel Henderson of Hartford (Ala.) Geneva County and tight end Jaleel Skinner and offensive tackle Tyler Booker of Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy.

Also, expected for an unofficial visit is five-star Anthony Lucas of Scottsdale (Ariz.) Chaparral. The Crimson Tide has been high on his list for a while, and On3’s Chad Simmons believes an SEC battle between Alabama and Texas A&M is brewing.

Can Alabama land Little?

Another big-name official visitor will be On3 Consensus four-star cornerback Earl Little Jr. Alabama has led for the elite defensive back, ranked the No. 80 prospect in the On3 Consensus, for months. He’s also teammates with Jones, so how things go with him could influence the No. 1 player’s recruitment.

Kendrick Law of Shreveport (La.) Captain Shreve comes to town on an official visit this weekend on commitment watch for Tide fans. Nick Saban and Alabama are one of the only teams that can go into Louisiana and lure away top players from LSU. And with the Tigers searching for a new head coach, this could be the perfect time for Alabama to push for a pledge with Law, who ranks as the No. 83 player in the On3 Consensus.

The Tide is also hoping to make up some ground on Ohio State for four-star defensive lineman Caden Curry, the No. 105 player in the On3 Consensus. The Buckeyes are high on the list for the big DL out of Greenwood (Ind.) Center Grove, but an impressive visit this weekend could turn things around.

The other official visitors are Neto Umeozulu of Allen (Texas) High School and Bama tight end commitment Elijah Brown out of Dayton (Ohio) Wayne. With the Tide still searching for more help on the offensive line, Umeozulu is an intriguing prospect to keep an eye on.

Top juniors also expected

BCS Alabama has a full review of the official and unofficial visitors heading to Tuscaloosa this weekend. The junior list of targets expected is quite impressive topped by CB Jahlil Hurley of Florence (Ala.), CB Tony Mitchell of Alabaster (Ala.) Thompson, DL Peter Woods of Alabaster (Ala.) Thompson and RB Justice Haynes of Roswell (Ga.) Blessed Trinity.
