Feast Week means college basketball has officially started. While most schools are only six or seven games into their seasons, players are starting to write their stories. The 2023 NBA Draft is still seven months away, and big boards are still in their infancy.

Most boards are scattered with one-and-done players, most of which were five-star prospects coming out of high school. However, every year players pop up, playing their way into the NBA Draft conversation. In the 2022 NBA Draft, Malaki Branham and Blake Wesley jumped from four-star status to one-and-done prospects.

Here are three players who were not five-stars in the 2022 On3 Consensus that could work their way onto 2023 NBA Draft boards this season as one-and-done prospects.

SF Brice Sensabaugh (Ohio State)

Height/Weight: 6-6/235
2022 On3 150: No. 57
On3 Consensus: No. 52

Brice Sensabaugh is a shot maker, and we know the value there. He is a thickly built wing with a good offensive feel and is averaging 15.8 points in 18.2 minutes this season. Sensabaugh has a crafty handle, and he plays with outstanding balance, both on and off the ball.

Sensabaugh’s non-scoring stats, 0.3 assists, 0.3 steals, etc., do provide some questions. However, he is shooting an impressive 52.5 percent from the field and 46.2 percent from three.

PF Taylor Hendricks (UCF)

Height/Weight: 6-9/215
2022 On3 150: No. 44
On3 Consensus: No. 54

Taylor Hendricks is an interesting prospect who looks to be in the three-and-D mold so coveted in the NBA. Through his first seven games, Hendricks is shooting 40 percent from three on 4.3 attempts, and he is averaging 1.7 blocked shots.

At 6-9, 215 Hendricks has long arms, and he moves well, both laterally and vertically. He will need to continue adding strength and developing his ball skills, but he is the only freshman in D-I averaging 14 points with an offensive rating above 120 and a defensive rating below 90.

SF Jett Howard (Michigan)

Height/Weight: 6-8/215
2022 On3 150: No. 39
On3 Consensus: No. 40

Jett Howard is the son of Michigan head coach Juwan Howard. Listed at 6-8, he has a well-rounded game, a connective piece who can handle, shoot, and pass with confidence at multiple levels. Howard is a good team defender with instincts and activity.

The freshman is averaging 15.2 points and shooting 43.9 percent from three on 6.8 attempts per game.
