Odds to win 2023 Heisman trophy released following spring practices

Spring training is over and done with, which means Las Vegas oddsmakers have refreshed the odds for the 2022 Heisman Trophy. While returning superstars cloud the top of the list, some surprising candidates have emerged behind them.
2021 winner Bryce Young is still the odds leader at +200. He now has the opportunity to be the first back-to-back Heisman winner since Archie Griffin in 1974-75.
Trailing closely behind is Ohio State star C.J. Stroud at +350. Stroud put an exclamation point on his 2021 season with a six-touchdown performance in the Rose Bowl. That showing put the Buckeyes youngster at the top of mind for the Heisman in 2022. He finished fourth in 2021.
New USC quarterback Caleb Williams is third in Vegas’ list of favorites for the Heisman in 2022, but is a ways back from the first two. After winning the job in Norman, Williams threw for 1,912 yards and scored 27 total touchdowns as OU closed the year with an 11-2 record. He’s attempting to do all that and more with Lincoln Riley in L.A. this season.
