Oklahoma at TCU has become an offensive onslaught in the first half, but the officials are making their mark on the game, and not in a good way.

While the Horned Frogs are looking for a victory, TCU leader Sonny Dykes has been in the referees ear for some bad calls throughout the game. However, it’s tough to disagree with them, especially after a phantom fair catch was called on the field.

Check out the video below, as Dykes is still looking for an explanation on the call.

Confusion was paramount, as both teams had no clue what was going on. Nevertheless, Oklahoma caught a break — until they gave up a 62-yard touchdown pass to TCU wide receiver Gunnar Henderson on the ensuing drive.

Moreover, this isn’t the first call that’s got Dykes heated on the day, as TCU was the victim of a controversial no-call on what seemed like an obvious pass interference on their prior drive. Additionally, officials gave the Horned Frogs a tough spot on a play that brought up a 4th and 1, which Oklahoma stopped.

Nevertheless, the officials or Oklahoma haven’t been able to slow down TCU, and it’s not looking like anything can. The Horned Frogs are on fire, and the sky is the limit for the program if they continue their fantastic play.

Dillon Gabriel knocked out of Oklahoma at TCU following controversial targeting call

Moreover, Oklahoma quarterback Dillon Gabriel is out of the game at the moment against TCU after suffering a vile looking hit while attempting to slide after a run.

After the play, Horned Frogs defender Jamoi Hodge was ejected for his contact with the Oklahoma quarterback’s helmet. Hodge was distraught on the sidelines, almost brought to tears with a towel draped covering his head. Indisputably, he immediately regretted the hit, wishing to take it all back in a moment’s notice.

Thankfully, Gabriel was able to walk off the field under his own power, now in the locker room.

Moreover, Oklahoma’s Gabriel was replaced with backup quarterback Davis Beville entering the game. Relying on the Sooners’ ground game, Oklahoma scored on the same drive, via Jovantae Barnes taking a 20-yard rush to the house.

At the moment, Oklahoma is trailing and looking to make an improbable comeback against TCU, but the college football world is hoping to hear some good news on Dillon Gabriel in the meantime.
