Waco (Texas) Connally four-star athlete and Oklahoma State commit Jelani McDonald has reopened his recruitment, he announced on social media Tuesday.

“Although Oklahoma State University is my number 1 school, I am opening up my recruitment 100%,” McDonald tweeted.

He was recently offered by Texas.

McDonald is the No. 334 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

He is ranked highest in the industry by On3, which ranks him at No. 103 overall in the 2023 On300 ranking. The two other athletes ranked above him are Washington (D.C.) Archbishop Carroll five-star athlete Nyckoles Harbor and Mustang (Okla.) four-star athlete Jacobe Johnson.

He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $11.6k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
