Four-star linebacker Harrison Taggart of Draper (Utah) Corner Canyon has narrowed his list to five schools- Oregon, USC, UCLA, Utah, and Arizona.

The 6-foot-2, 210 pounder made his most recent cut from 26 total offers. Taggart is ranked as the No. 17 linebacker in the On300 2022 rankings.

Taggart just got back from his Oregon official visit where the Ducks played Stony Brook. The overall atmosphere was impressive for Taggart.

“Oregon is different, the game day environment and their coaching staff is incomparable,” Taggart said. “They are having a very good season this year and I would love to play in a winning program.”

As far as USC, Taggart has multiple factors that make him comfortable with the Trojans.

“USC runs a very similar defense to what I am in right now,” Taggart said. “My guy Jaxson Dart is there right now, and he loves it. My high school QB and friend, Devin Brown, is committed there as well and it would be fun to play with them.”

The possibility of playing early at UCLA stands out to the Utah linebacker.

“The depth chart at UCLA is great,” Taggart said. “I have a very good relationship with Coach (Don) Pellum, and I love UCLA’s campus and location.”

Growing up in Utah, Taggart is very familiar with the Utes program.

“I love the coaches at Utah and am very close with Coach (Colton) Swan,” Taggart said. “They are also known for having a very good defense, and it’s right in my backyard as I have grown up a Ute.”

Arizona’s plan for the future stands out for Taggart.

“I love the staff at Arizona and what they plan to do in the future,” Taggart said. “I also love the depth chart. As they have a very thin depth chart at the viper position that I would be playing there.”

Overall, each program wants Taggart as a linebacker, using his 10.7-second 100-meter speed to get sideline to sideline.

In the month of June, Taggart visited Utah, Utah State, Oregon, UCLA, USC, and Arizona. This fall he has already visited Oregon, and plans to take official visits to Utah and UCLA soon.
