Four-star offensive tackle Aamil Wagner of Dayton, OH has announced that he will make his commitment on Nov. 11.

The 6-foot-6, 265 pounder will choose between Kentucky, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Maryland, and Penn State.

Wagner, the No. 13 OT in the On300 rankings, elaborated on each of the finalists.

Kentucky

“I love how they make me feel like family every time I’m there and I’m really comfortable with their coaches,” Wagner said. “I like the program they’re building there and feel like they have a bright future.”

Ohio State

“Ohio State is one of the most successful programs of all time and I feel like they can truly prepare me for the next level,” Wagner said. “I’m from Ohio and grew up watching the Buckeyes. With my family in Ohio, I’ll know I’ll have a lot of support if I go there.”

Notre Dame

“Notre Dame is one of the best schools for academics and they will prepare me for life outside of football,” Wagner said. “They also have a great tradition, especially in the O line room with many top talents coming through the program.”

Maryland

“I love what Maryland is building over there,” Wagner said. “I think Coach (Mike) Locksley is going to be able to build an excellent program in the Big 10 as long as he gets the right guys.”

Penn State:

Penn State’s main draw is the coaches and current recruiting class,” Wagner said. “I have developed a great relationship with both the offensine line coach Phil Trautwein.  Coach (James) Franklin is very active in recruiting and made me feel wanted. I’ve also become close with Drew Allar and other recruits in my class, and I feel very comfortable being on the same team with them.”
