There is a new leader for 2023 four-star quarterback Jaden Rashada, according to On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM). The Oregon Ducks now have a 53.3% chance to land the top-10 quarterback. The shift comes after On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons lowered the confidence level of his Ole Miss prediction.

Currently, the Rebels sit a just a 6.7% on the RPM.

The Ducks want Rashada on campus for their annual spring game this weekend. Oregon is also making Rashada a top priority in the 2023 cycle.

“If you’re Oregon, there are two options here,” Scoop Duck’s Justin Hopkins said. “Either push hard to get him here for the spring game with the other top recruits. Or hold off a week or two and be his last visit. Both have merits. You can make an argument for either visit.

“I do think Oregon has clawed its way back into the top two range. And could possibly even lead. The additions of Josh Conerly and Kyler Kasper certainly move the needle. Rashada is definitely high on Oregon.”

As it stands, Oregon has two commitments in their 2023 recruiting class: four-star athlete Cole Martin and three-star defensive lineman Tevita Pome’e. Could the Ducks be one step closer to adding Rashada’s name to that list after a spring game visit? That remains to be seen, but Hopkins stands firm that the Ducks will find a quarterback from the high school ranks this recruiting cycle, whether it’s Rashada or another major prospect.

New offer for Jaden Rashada

Now, a new contender has entered the mix. Texas A&M offered the quarterback Wednesday evening, which could throw a wrench into things for the Ducks as Jimbo Fisher and the Aggies are looking to complete a second-consecutive No. 1 recruiting class.

Miami still poses a threat to the Ducks with a 28.9 percent score on On3’s RPM, second to Oregon by a wide margin. The interest for Rashada is heating up and the Ducks are hoping Saturday’s spring showcase could seal the deal for the blue-chip quarterback.

Scouting Summary for Rashada

The follow is On3’s scouting review of Rashada’s junior highlights:

Jaden Rashada has been on the recruiting radar for several years, pre-dating his time as a high school starter. The 6-foot-4, 175-pounder is one of the better arm talents in the cycle with the ability to drive the ball downfield with relative ease. Rashada put together a solid junior season at Pittsburg (Calif.) High after a bit of a bumpy sophomore spring season. We’ll be watching how Rashada progresses in terms of positional nuance and operating efficiency as a senior.

The On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average, currently ranks Rashada as the nation’s No. 57 overall prospect in the 2023 class.
