Things just keep getting worse for the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football against the Buffalo Bills. Following a run down the sideline from Bills rookie running back James Cook, Walker tackled him out of bounds, and he landed on the Buffalo sideline. Following the play, it appeared that one of the practice squad tight ends for the Bills, Zach Davidson, was simply just trying to help Packers’ rookie Quay Walker up from the ground. He, however, apparently did not see it that way and decided to give Davidson a pretty strong shove.

Check it out here.

When making their announcement, the referees from the game could be heard discussing that Walker shoved a Buffalo Bills coach on the sideline.

The shove immediately drew an unsportsmanlike penalty from the referees and then after a little bit of discussion, they decided to eject Walker from the game. The ejection happened with 4:01 remaining in the second quarter.

It seems like an unfortunate incident for the former Georgia star because it simply appeared to be a misunderstanding of the situation. Bills head coach Sean McDermott grabbed Walker to pull him away from the Bills’ sideline in an attempt to diffuse the situation.

We’ll have to see what Walker’s version of the events is after the game. Once he was ejected for unsportsmanlike conduct, the rookie linebacker was immediately scolded by Packers’ head coach Matt LaFleur and understandably so. He then headed to the locker room.

No matter what happens on those sidelines, you simply cannot react to it, because a penalty or ejection is likely to follow.

The Buffalo Bills currently lead Sunday night’s game 24-10 early in the third quarter. The game is being nationally televised on NBC.

Walker was selected No. 22 overall in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft by the Packers. Playing in a stacked front seven for the Georgia Bulldogs in Athens, the linebacker finished with 65 tackles, 5.5 tackles for a loss, and 1.5 sacks last year.
