The matchups and dates for the 2022 ACC – Big Ten Challenge are officially set. According to a tweet from ESPN PR, the 14 games that are part of the inter-conference battle will take place from November 28th through the 30th.

Here are the dates and matchups for the 2022 Challenge:

ACC vs. Big Ten matchups

Nov. 28th

Minnesota @ Virginia Tech

Pittsburgh @ Northwestern

Nov. 29th

Wake Forest @ Wisconsin

Maryland @ Louisville

Penn State @ Clemson

Georgia Tech @ Iowa

Virginia @ Michigan

Syracuse @ Illinois

Nov. 30th

North Carolina @ Indiana

Michigan State @ Notre Dame

Boston College @ Nebraska

Rutgers @ Miami

Purdue @ Florida State

Ohio State @ Duke

So, there you have it. The 2022 matchups for the annual ACC vs. Big Ten Challenge. The Big Ten are the reigning champs of the challenge after downing the ACC 8-6 in last fall’s matchup. Dates and times are yet to be released for each of the games, but the challenge normally takes place in late November or early December.

As for the games, runner-up North Carolina visiting Assembly Hall is the most striking matchup to me. It’s very possible a No. 1 ranked Tar Heels team goes into that madhouse in Bloomington, so that would be fun. Could be Mike Woodson’s opportunity to pick up the marquee win of his tenure thus far to establish Indiana as a power early in the season.

Ohio State visiting Duke is also interesting after the Buckeyes upended the Blue Devils in Columbus last year. They do lose Coach K, but Duke still brings in the top recruiting class in the country. Meanwhile, Ohio State just lost two players to the draft and are set to take a step back. Should be revenge for the guys in blue.

Florida State hosting Purdue should be fun. Outside of the top blue blood powers, few other teams have won as consistently as these two programs over the past 5-7 years. Great programs run by great, veteran coaches in Matt Painter and Leonard Hamilton.
