Report: Nebraska, Oklahoma to meet in neutral site game for 2025-26 season

Two former Big 12 rivals will meet again on the hardwood next season. According to college basketball insider Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports, Oklahoma and Nebraska are set to play each other on Nov. 16 at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
According to Sports Reference, the Sooners and Cornhuskers have met a total of 130 times throughout their history with OU leading the all-time series 68-62. The rivals last met in a neutral site game during the 2022-23 season, with Oklahoma coming out on top in a 69-56 win.
The meeting in the 2025-26 season will mark only the second game between the two teams since Nebraska left the Big 12 following the 2010-11 season. The Cornhuskers now compete in the Big Ten while the Sooners just completed their first year as a member of the SEC.
OU finished with a 20-14 record this past season to snap a three-game NCAA Tournament drought. The Sooners earned a No. 9 seed, where they lost in the first round against Connecticut.
Nebraska missed out on the NCAA Tournament but didn’t let that stop it from taking home some hardware. The Cornhuskers won the inaugural edition of The Crown postseason tournament, defeating UCF by a score of 77-66 in the championship game.

All this to say, it’s setting up for an exciting reunion between Oklahoma and Nebraska that should have fans from both sides amped up. There is no timetable for an official announcement on the game nor is there a tip time yet.
Porter Moser sends message to Oklahoma fans as rumors swirl on future
Another offseason in Norman brings more rumors about Porter Moser. Continually linked with other coaching jobs, Moser still finds himself as the Oklahoma head coach. All this despite being connected with the likes of Villanova and most recently, Texas A&M.
Moser was once again asked about his future Thursday on The Zach Gelb Show. He decided to send a message to Oklahoma fans with his belief in what the program can become. Some more “resources” are wanted by Moser but he says things are moving in the right direction.
“The people in Oklahoma are special,” Moser said. “It’s one of the greatest places I’ve lived. It’s just, you’re fighting to get the resources right. And we are. We’re moving in that right direction… There’s such opportunities that, such a high vision of what we can do being in this SEC. We’re looking forward to it.”
