The regular season is complete and several players had massive impacts on their respective teams in Week 14. On Monday, the SEC released its conference players of the week.
The conference had no shortage of stars this past weekend. It was rivalry week and players were hungry to show out against their foes. With the Lone Star State Showdown, Egg Bowl and Iron Bowl unfolding in Week 14, fans were treated to a smorgasbord of standout outings.
With the postseason officially underway, players will only look to take their performances to the next level. Look below to see who finished the regular season on a high note in the SEC.
Offensive
QB Trinidad Chambliss, Ole Miss
RB Sedrick Alexander, Vanderbilt
Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss showed out in his first Egg Bowl. In the dominant 38-19 victory, Chambliss completed 23-of-his-34 pass attempts for 359 yards and four touchdowns, without throwing an interception.
Vanderbilt’s Sedrick Alexander was also spectacular in Week 14. Alexander erupted for 115 rushing yards and three scores on just 10 carries in the Commodores’ win over Tennessee. It was the first 100-yard game of his career.
Defensive
EDGE Ethan Burke, Texas
S Bray Hubbard, Alabama
Ethan Burke was everywhere in Texas’ win over Texas A&M on Friday. In the triumph, Burke notched a career-high nine tackles. Moreover, Burke made a game-changing blocked field goal. Burke wasn’t the only standout defender in the SEC this past weekend.
On Saturday, Alabama safety Bray Hubbard was phenomenal in the Crimson Tide’s Iron Bowl victory. Most notably, Hubbard intercepted a pass late in the third quarter as Auburn drove into Alabama’s territory.
Special Teams
PK/KOS Kevin Coleman, Missouri
With just over eight minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, Missouri held a narrow 23-17 lead over Arkansas. Then, Coleman put the game away when he returned a punt for 67 yards to give the Tigers a comfortable lead.
It was Coleman’s first punt return of the season. He averaging 12.6 yards per punt return this season, ranking No. 11 in the country.

Offensive Line
C Jordan White, Vanderbilt
OL Trevor Goosby, Texas
Tennessee couldn’t find a way past Vanderbilt center Jordan White on Saturday. White did not allow a sack or QB hit on 36 pass-block snaps.
Moreover, White was instrumental in Vanderbilt’s historic performance in the ground game. In the win, the Commodores racked up 314 rushing yards, the most the program has recorded against an SEC opponent since at least 1996.
Defensive Line
DT Chris McClellan, Missouri
In Missouri’s 31-17 win over Arkansas, defensive tackle Chris McClellan recorded a career-high two sacks, knocking the Razorbacks backward nine total yards. In total, McClellan had three stops.
When McClellan wasn’t able to bring down Arkansas QB Taylen Green, he was still making his presence known. On top of his two sacks, McClellan recorded one QB hurry in the win.
Freshman
QB Kamario Taylor, Mississippi State
Kamario Taylor introduced himself to the nation on Saturday, making his first career start. While he couldn’t lead the Bulldogs to a victory in the Egg Bowl, he showed plenty of promise.
In the loss, Taylor rushed 173 yards and two touchdowns. He also threw for 178 yards. He is only the fourth Mississippi State QB to have 150 or more passing and rushing yards in the same game since 1995.
