Disruptive DE Max Meier details commitment to Stanford: "Meets everything I want academically and athletically"

Los Angeles (Calif.) Loyola edge rusher Max Meier announced his commitment to Stanford on Tuesday evening.
The Cardinal beat out the likes of Arizona, Illinois, Nebraska, North Carolina, UCLA, Wisconsin and USC. He was in Palo Alto over the weekend.
“I flew up to Stanford this weekend to sit down with Andrew Luck and to really understand what his vision for the program is going forward in the midst of all their changes,” Meier explained. “It just really feels like home for me on The Farm. Meets everything I want academically and athletically and he assured me he is going to hire the absolute best head coach for that program before year’s end to drive the program back to the top.”
The 6-foot-5, 245-pound Meier is commit No. 4 for Stanford in the 2026 class.
“My class will be on the ground floor and just know its the right place to be for me,” Meier said. “I was seriously considering several others but know my goal now will be to develop into the best power edge that has ever played for Stanford.

“The recruiting process is long but feel blessed to have this feeling I’m a step closer to where I want to be. Now I can focus on having the best season I can for Loyola this fall.”
