Las Vegas, Nevada – Point guard Tahaad Pettiford was one of the stars of the Pangos All-American Camp at Bishop Gorman High the last three days.

The near 6-foot, 160-pound point guard with the ball on a string picked up his first offer in June of 2021 when hometown Seton Hall extended.

Since that time Pettiford has added six more offers with plenty more expected in the coming months.

“I have seven offers right now,” Pettiford told On3. “UConn, Maryland, Seton Hall, Rutgers, UCLA, St. John’s and Bryant.”

Pettiford, who was selected for the Pangos All-American Camp Top 30 Cream of the Crop game, recently made an unofficial visit to UConn that left a favorable impression.

“I took an unofficial to UConn about a month ago. I just went up there to look around. My dad is really close with the coach, so I just went up there to look around. Just to look at the campus. I really like the school. The coaching staff, the players, and I met everybody. I spoke with the coaches, and they are recruiting me heavy. They are probably recruiting me the hardest of any school.”

In early August Pettiford and family will make a trip to Los Angeles to take a first look at UCLA. The Bruins are a favorite of the left-handed playmaker.

“I’m going to UCLA August 7, and Maryland too this summer. UCLA is one of my dream schools. It was big to get that offer, and I can’t wait to get out there and check it out.”

Seton Hall is a school that will be in the mix as long as the new staff makes the effort.

“I like Seton Hall. It’s home. Who wouldn’t want to stay home, but I haven’t talked to anyone since the coaching change.”

Pettiford’s offer list is expected to grow during the July live period with Tennessee, Oklahoma State, Syracuse and Stanford all showing real interest. Pettiford would like to hear from Alabama, Georgia and Auburn. The SEC guard play has an appeal for the Garden State prospect.
