Buccaneers, Cowboys update injury report ahead of season-opening matchup
Ahead of the Dallas Cowboys’ season-opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, both teams have released their initial injury reports for Week 1, and for the Bucs, they’ll be monitoring several high-impact players as the week progresses while Dallas has largely steered clear of many minor injuries.

Cowboys’ Injury Report
Limited Participation: WR Michael Gallup (knee), CB Jourdan Lewis (hamstring)
Gallup, whose knee injury forced him out of more than half the season, played just eight games in 2022 thanks an ACL tear, though recorded 35 catches for 445 yards and two touchdowns before his season was ended prematurely. When he returns, he’ll be expected to be one of quarterback Dak Prescott‘s most reliable target this season alongside CeeDee Lamb.
Dallas Cowboys sign veteran OT Jason Peters following Tyron Smith injury
The Dallas Cowboys have agreed to terms with former Philadelphia Eagles All-Pro offensive tackle Jason Peters, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport on Monday. Rapoport reported the two parties met last week and that they were working on a deal on Sunday.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones discussed the move to a local Dallas radio show on Friday, saying Peters underwent a physical. Although Peters will start the season on the practice squad, the plan is to work him into the lineup as soon as possible. The former Eagles lineman is one of the oldest in the NFL at 40 years old. The deal is reportedly for one year.
Peters, who played last season with the Bears after spending 11 seasons in Philadelphia, made the Pro Bowl in nine consecutive years during the prime of his career from 2007 through 2016. Two of those seasons came with the Buffalo Bills, the team that drafted him out of Arkansas. He earned First-Team AP All-Pro honors during the 2011 and 2013 seasons.
