The trolls keep coming in after Kentucky found itself in a “football school” vs. “basketball school” debate. This time, Tennessee weighed in.

Volunteers point guard Josiah-Jordan James got things started with a tweet directed at Kentucky football coach Mark Stoops, who wasn’t pleased when Wildcats basketball coach John Calipari declared Kentucky a basketball school on Thursday. Stoops clapped back with a tweet, but James saw an opportunity to poke some fun at him.

“Yikes,” James said, along with five laughing emojis. “We love each other on this side. Everybody eats #volnation #everythingschool”

Shortly afterward, Tennessee athletic director Danny White got in on the fun, referencing James’ tweet with one of his own.

“Couldn’t agree with you more @jjjames30! #everything school #GBO,” White tweeted.

Bryan Harsin trolls Kentucky amid Mark Stoops, John Calipari comments

Tennessee wasn’t the only school to troll Kentucky after the Twitter spat. Auburn coach Bryan Harsin also dove head-first into the brewing SEC beef.

Harsin tweeted a picture of himself with Tigers men’s basketball coach Bruce Pearl, calling Auburn an “everything school.” The tweet went off just a few hours after Kentucky basketball coach John Calipari called UK a basketball school. That led to a response from Wildcats football coach Mark Stoops, which quickly made its way around social media.

Calipari made his comments while making the pitch for a new Kentucky basketball practice facility. Stoops instantly weighed in, retweeting Calipari’s comments about being a “basketball school” and reminding him about the football program’s recent postseason success.

“Basketball school?” Stoops tweeted. “I thought we competed in the SEC? #4straightpostseasonwins”

Calipari’s comments led Stoops to go for the kill shot that was the two team’s recent postseason successes. Stoops’ football team has gone to six straight bowl games and won four straight overall. That has led to a surge in popularity with the program.
