More on Texas A&M-Arkansas

Texas A&M and Arkansas meet Tuesday night in a game between two squads with completely opposite trends. A&M is 7-1 in SEC play and ranks as the fifth-best team in the country in efficiency since the start of 2023, per our friends at Bart Torvik. Meanwhile, Arkansas is just 3-5 in league play and has lost five of their last seven games overall, the most recent coming at Baylor this past weekend.

So, the surging Aggies meet the reeling Razorbacks in Bud Walton Arena this evening with major NCAA Tournament implications on the line. Despite the recent results, Arkansas may be in better position right now to make the Big Dance over A&M, who had a rough non-conference slate which included losses to Wofford, Colorado and Murray State. Whereas the Hogs were able to pick up a few quality out-of-conference wins and avoided any resume-killing losses.

Arkansas is playing slightly better ball of late, having won their two prior matchups before falling narrowly on the road against top-15 ranked Baylor. Hogs need a win at home to solidify their tourney chances after a recent slide. As for the Aggies, a win could mean a ticket punched to the postseason…for now.

Massive quad one showdown in Fayetteville this evening. These clubs have athletes everywhere and great defenses to boot. Expect some fireworks in this matchup of rowdy fanbases and eccentric coaches.
