There hasn’t been much new news regarding New Orleans Isidore Newman Five-Star Plus+ quarterback Arch Manning over the past few weeks, but that doesn’t mean the tides aren’t turning.

The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) has a new favorite for the nation’s No. 1 recruit compared to just a few weeks ago.

Alabama is the new leader of the pack with a 30.1% chance of landing Manning while Georgia has slipped to second at 24.9%.

Texas is third in the group at 19.6% and Ole Miss rounds out the top four at 12.9%.

It was a huge fall for Georgia, which went from about 36% to just under 25% in three weeks. And while it allowed Alabama to take the top spot, Texas and Ole Miss were the biggest beneficiaries, each moving up more than 3% points.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, expert predictions, social sentiment, visits, and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

Arch Manning is an all-around elite recruit

Arch Manning currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $1.6 million. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

The latest edition of the On300 rankings was released yesterday and Manning earned the No. 1 spot once again. Since the 2023 class started receiving rankings from On3, Manning has been the top recruit.

On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power explained why he is the top guy.

“Arch Manning continues to hold down the No. 1 overall spot, also making him the top-ranked quarterback in the cycle,” Power said. “We first saw Manning in person last summer alongside most of the other top 2023 quarterbacks on the college camp circuit. He was the most developed and well-rounded of the group. At 6-foot-4, 215-pounds, Manning has one of the quicker releases we’ve seen from a high school quarterback in recent cycles. His ability to to make translatable, high-level plays from within the pocket and outside of structure. He’s an accurate passer to all levels. Manning also has shown the ability to create some big gains with his legs, rushing for around 400 yards and seven touchdowns as a junior at New Orleans Isidore Newman.”
