Rashaud Marshall has been one of the biggest winners of the early live period. The 6-foot-8 class of 2023 post player has utilized the Adidas 3SSB Circuit to go from a virtual unknown to a probable Top-100 prospect.

“My go-to game is to post up,” Marshall told On3. “I try to get my guy deep (in the paint) and get to my hook shot; I shoot that with either hand. I’m working on my perimeter game. I’ve been watching a lot of Kevin Durant and how he gets to the rack. But I love the post.”

Playing with the Arkansas Hawks program, college coaches have been lining up to watch the Arkansas native. On3 caught up with Marshall at the last Adidas 3SSB stop to see which programs are prioritizing him.

Arkansas called after the last live period,” Marshall said. “Kansas offered me, and Missouri too. I am going to try and visit Kansas this summer, Missouri too. Ole Miss is the only official visit I’ve taken.”

Marshall talks recruiting

Kansas: “It was a blessing for them to call me at my house and offer me. They love my post-up game and how tough I play down low. I mean, I just watched them win a national championship.”

Missouri: “They just offered me. I used to play with coach Lucas Nutt’s AAU team. His dad Dickey Nutt is a coach over there. I don’t know much about that program, but I know them and am excited to learn more.”

Ole Miss: “This offer was big for me. My pops always wanted me to go to Ole Miss. I saw they are hard workers down there; they don’t go for no soft stuff. They’ll be in there until the end.”

Marshall’s take

“I will look closely to see how they treat their players,” Marshall said. “See how they treat me. I want to go somewhere that is comfortable, that feels like home. I’ll look at how they use their post players and how the schools develop guys like me.”

On3’s take

Rashaud Marshall is a strong, burly post player on the block. He is physical on the block, buries his man deep, and gives a big target. Marshall has good hands and can finish, through contact, with both hands around the basket. He did not take a jump shot, but the free-throw form looked like you could build on it. There were a couple of plays where he ripped through and attacked from the top of the key: hard worker, blue-collar, and one to watch enter the rankings at the next update.
