Roseville (Mich.) cornerback Amare Snowden is down to six schools, he announced Friday afternoon.

Snowden is the No. 409 prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 38 cornerback and the No. 8 junior prospect in Michigan.

Among his top schools are: Cincinnati, Howard, Iowa, Kentucky, Penn State and Wisconsin.

The 6-foot-3, 190-pounder narrowed down to those six from a list that included more than 25 total offers. Snowden previously told On3’s Chad Simmons that he would like to make a commitment decision before his senior season starts in August.

He has yet to schedule any official visits, but did trip to Iowa, Wisconsin, Penn State and Cincinnati. Blue White Illustrated’s Ryan Snyder caught up with him after his most recent trip to State College.

“I personally felt like I was home,” Snowden said. “Spending time with Coach [Anthony Poindexter][Alan Zemaitis]Hunter [Carson] and just everybody up there, it felt great. My mom came with us and she loved it. She saw all the history there, and where I would be living at up there. It just felt like home. I can’t emphasize that enough.”

Cincinnati, meanwhile, has made an impression after its trip to the College Football Playoff this past year.

“The Cincinnati program is on the rise,” Amare Snowden told Simmons in February. “They had a great year, game-day there was nice, and I liked it a lot. … I have looked up to Ahmad Gardner and Coby Bryant, so I watched them in pre-game up close and they are special. Some compare me to “Sauce” (Gardner), so that was one of my favorite parts of the visit.”

The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine lists the Nittany Lions and Bearcats as two of the favorites to land Snowden.
