National Signing Day has passed, meaning that nearly every player in the 2023 cycle has signed with a college program. As a result, it is time to look ahead to the 2024 cycle. Perennial powers, as well as upstart programs, have already landed some impact juniors on the recruiting trail. The top 10 of the 2024 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings can be found below.

These rankings are as of 11:00 a.m. CT on February 6.

1. Georgia (95.901)
1 five-star | 8 four-stars | 1 three-star | 10 total recruits
Top Commit: New Haven (Conn.) IMG Academy cornerback Ellis Robinson IV, No. 7 in On3 Consensus
Summary: Georgia landed its biggest win of the 2024 cycle by getting a commitment from Robinson IV. The Bulldogs now have pledges from six top-50 prospects, including Robinson IV, four-star tight end Landen Thomas, four-star safety Peyton Woodyard and four-star linebacker Demarcus Riddick. Robinson IV was Georgia’s second commitment in five days, as in-state four-star athlete Dwight Phillips chose the Bulldogs on Jan. 28.

2. Alabama (94.992)
1 five-star | 3 four-stars | 0 three-stars | 4 total recruits
Top Commit: Pinson (Ala.) Clay-Chalkville athlete Jaylen Mbakwe, No. 14 in On3 Consensus
Summary: Like their SEC rival, Alabama is off to a fast start in the 2024 cycle with commitments from three top-100 prospects. The Crimson Tide’s group is led by Mbakwe and four-star quarterback Julian Sayin. Four-star-receiver Perry Thompson and four-star linebacker Sterling Dixon are Alabama’s other commits. All four are ranked in the top 250 of the On3 Consensus.

3. Florida (94.721)
0 five stars | 4 four-stars | 0 three-stars | 4 total recruits
Top Commit: Willis (Texas) quarterback DJ Lagway, No. 21 in On3 Consensus
Summary: Florida notched a win on the recruiting trail when in-state four-star linebacker Adarius Hayes chose the Gators on Jan. 28. He is one of three top-55 recruits committed to Florida, alongside Lagway and four-star linebacker Adarius Hayes. Meanwhile, four-star running back Chauncey Bowens pledged to head coach Billy Napier and his staff on Sept. 18.

4. Ohio State (94.650)
1 five-star | 2 four-stars | 0 three stars | 3 total recruits
Top Commit: Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna Prep wide receiver Jeremiah Smith, No. 2 in On3 Consensus
Summary: At one point, Ohio State had the top class in the 2024 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings. However, that changed once Five-Star Plus+ quarterback Dylan Raiola backed of his pledge to the Buckeyes. But Ohio State’s group is still talented. Smith is the top wide receiver in the country and four-star interior offensive lineman Ian Moore is a top-three player at his position. Meanwhile, four-star linebacker Garrett Stover is the Buckeyes’ first in-state commit this cycle.

5. Notre Dame (93.724)
0 five-stars | 6 four-stars | 2 three-stars | 8 total recruits
Top Commit: Saline (Mich.) quarterback CJ Carr, No. 33 in On3 Consensus
Summary: Notre Dame’s 2024 class started off fast, landing commitments from Carr, four-star wide receiver Cam Williams, four-star tight end Jack Larsen and four-star defensive lineman Owen Wafle in May and June. Carr gives the Fighting Irish another quarterback to build around and he will be helped by talent including Williams, Larsen and four-star running back Aneyas Williams. Head coach Marcus Freeman added two pledges last fall, including Williams. Additionally, three-star cornerback Leonard Moore committed to Notre Dame on Feb. 4.

6. Louisville (93.646)
1 five-star | 1 four-star | 0 three-stars | 2 total recruits
Top Commit: Miami (Fla.) Columbus linebacker TJ Capers, No. 10 in On3 Consensus
Summary: Louisville got a new head coach this offseason in Jeff Brohm, who previously played quarterback for the Cardinals. Despite being on the job for roughly a month, Brohm and his staff were able to reel in a commitment from Capers, the top linebacker in the country. Four-star running back Isaac Brown, a top-20 player at his position, is the other member of Louisville’s 2024 class.

7. South Carolina (92.831)
0 five-stars | 5 four-stars | 0 three-stars | 5 total recruits
Top Commit: Dorchester (S.C.) Woodland offensive tackle Kam Pringle, No. 40 in On3 Consensus
Summary: Four-star quarterback Dante Reno, who committed to South Carolina on July 2, was the only member of the Gamecocks’ 2024 class for a long time. That has changed over the past two months, as South Carolina landed commitments from Pringle, four-star linebacker Wendell Gregory and four-star tight end Michael Smith over a five-day span, as well as four-star athlete Mazeo Bennett. Pringle and Bennett are two of the top three players in South Carolina.

8. Florida State (92.560)
0 five-stars | 6 four-stars | 2 three-stars | 9 total recruits
Top Commit: Albany (Ga.) Dougherty running back Kameron Davis, No. 31 in On3 Consensus
Summary: Davis has been the highest-ranked prospect in Florida State’s class since his commitment to the Seminoles on Feb. 25, 2021. He is one of Florida State’s top-100 recruits, alongside four-star safety Jordan Pride. Head coach Mike Norvell has four other pledges ranked in the top 350 of the On3 Consensus, including four-star quarterback Luke Kromenhoek and four-star safety CJ Heard. The Seminoles’ most recent commit is four-star wide receiver Tawaski Abrams, who chose the program on Jan. 26.

9. LSU (92.045)
0 five-stars | 5 four-stars | 3 three-stars | 8 total recruits
Top Commit: Bellaire (Texas) Shadow Creek safety Maurice Williams, No. 113 in On3 Consensus
Summary: Similar to the 2023 cycle, head coach Brian Kelly and his staff seem on their way to success on the recruiting trail. LSU already has commitments from five top-200 prospects: Williams, four-star quarterback Colin Hurley, four-star athlete Joseph Stone, four-star tight end Tayvion Galloway and four-star cornerback Zion Ferguson. Hurley reclassified to the Tigers from the 2025 cycle.

10. Michigan State (91.957)
0 five-stars | 3 four-stars | 0 three-stars | 3 total recruits
Top Commit: River Rouge (Mich.) wide receiver Nick Marsh, No. 57 in On3 Consensus
Summary: After missing a bowl game during the 2022 season, head coach Mel Tucker and his staff are off to an impressive start in the 2024 cycle. All three of their commitments — Marsh, four-star cornerback Jamari Howard and four-star cornerback Jaylen Thompson — are ranked in the top 250 of the On3 Consensus. Howard is ranked even higher by On3 as the No. 25 overall prospect in the country.
