On3 celebrated the college football season being 100 days away in the only reasonable way to do so, by counting down the Top 100 players in all of the sport.

On3’s Charles Power and Clark Brooks broke down the top 100 players in college football for the 2023 season, and their rankings feature a bevy of exciting quarterbacks in their top 10 at the position. The best player in all of college football last season was none other than the reigning Heisman Trophy winner in USC’s Caleb Williams, so it makes sense he tops the list, but many other signal-callers are littered throughout.

Check out the Top 10 quarterbacks in the College Football Top 100 below, led by Williams, who all will be chasing once again in 2023.

1) Caleb Williams, USC Trojans
2) Drake Maye, North Carolina Tar Heels
11) Michael Penix Jr., Washington Huskies
13) Bo Nix, Oregon Ducks
36) Jordan Travis, Florida State Seminoles
52) Sam Hartman, Notre Dame Fighting Irish
70) J.J. McCarthy, Michigan Wolverines
75) Quinn Ewers, Texas Longhorns
81) Joe Milton, Tennessee Volunteers
96) Devin Leary, Kentucky Wildcats

As you can see, Williams leads the pack to no one’s surprise, with players like North Carolina Tar Heels star Drake Maye and Texas Longhorns quarterback Quinn Ewers following suit. It remains to be seen if the Tar Heels and Longhorns quarterbacks can catch the USC star, but it’ll be a fascinating battle to watch unfold throughout 2023.

Meanwhile, Washington’s Michael Penix Jr. is hoping to lead an electric Huskies offense to a Pac-12 title in 2023, and he has the talent around him to do so. Continuing through the list, freshly-minted Notre Dame Fighting Irish quarterback Sam Hartman is featured, who will have some high expectations dropped upon his shoulders throughout his first season in South Bend.

Additionally, two fascinating names in the SEC are Tennessee’s Joe Milton and Kentucky’s Devin Leary. Both are hoping to replace signal-callers who took their talents to the NFL in Hendon Hooker and Will Levis, and they’ll have big expectations on their back, but it remains to be seen if they can live up to their billing.

There’s a bevy of talented signal callers in the college game for the 2023 season, perhaps even more than we saw last season. It’s going to be fun to watch them all grow and make some highlight plays throughout the year.
