The On3 Impact 300 ranks the best players in college football entering the 2022 season, with a full release coming in the next few weeks. Prior to the release of the inaugural list – which also factors into the calculation of On3’s NIL Valuation – On3 has revealed the top 10 returning wide receivers.

This year’s crop of returning wide receivers, led by Ohio State phenom Jaxon Smith-Njigba, could give the 2021 group a run for its money. Although the Buckeyes have the No. 1 overall wide receiver, the Texas Longhorns have two players featured in Xavier Worthy and new addition Isaiah Neyor.

These are the 10 most impactful wide receivers with less than three months until the 2022 season kicks off.

On3 Impact 300’s Top 10 Wide Receivers

1. Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Ohio State

Heading into his final season before draft eligibility hits, Jaxon Smith-Njigba is coming off of a 1,606-yard season. He was third in the nation in total yards, setting Ohio State and Rose Bowl records. He ranks No. 5 overall in the On3 Impact 300 top 10 and has an NIL value of $1.4 million, which is No. 10 in the NIL 100.

2. Jordan Addison, USC

The Trojans scored one of the biggest wins of the offseason, landing Pittsburgh’s Biletnikoff winner Jordan Addison out of the transfer portal. He was the No. 2 transfer portal prospect, behind fellow USC new addition Caleb Williams. Addison had 100 receptions, 1,593 yards and 17 receiving touchdowns in 2021. After his move to Los Angeles, his NIL valuation shot up roughly 539% to $887,000.

3. Kayshon Boutte, LSU

The LSU Tigers’ quarterback competition is ongoing, but they return Kayshon Boutte after an injury ended his 2021 season early. The former five-star recruit has yet to break 1,000 yards in a season, however, this would be the year to do it with his draft window coming up. Boutte’s NIL value is currently $619,000.

4. Marvin Mims, Oklahoma

Like Boutte, Marvin Mims is chasing his first 1,000-yard season but he’s still in the conversation for the first round of the draft in 2023. Last season, Mims had 32 receptions for 705 yards. His NIL value is $589,000.

5. Xavier Worthy, Texas

Steve Sarkisian’s offense is working out well for Xavier Worthy. He posted 981 yards and 12 scores on 62 receptions as a true freshman, and that was with quarterback drama. Worthy has an NIL value of $623,000 heading into his second year at Texas.

6. Jermaine Burton, Alabama

Jermaine Burton played well at Georgia but he’s hoping for a lot more with Alabama after transferring for the 2022 season. The third-year wideout has two 400+ yard seasons under his belt so far and an NIL value of $524,000.

7. Josh Downs, North Carolina

North Carolina star Josh Downs finished 11th in the nation in receiving yards (1,335) last season and was one of just 14 receivers to average more than 100 yards per game in 2021. If UNC can replace Sam Howell effectively, Downs is in a good position for the 2023 NFL Draft. His NIL value is set at $455,000.

8. Xavier Hutchinson, Iowa State

The 2022 season could be a big one for former Blinn C.C. wideout Xavier Hutchinson. He had 83 receptions for 987 yards and five scores for the Cyclones in 2021. His NIL value is currently $431,000.

9. Isaiah Neyor, Texas

The Longhorns went out and picked up another top-10 wide receiver in Isaiah Neyor from Wyoming this offseason. He finished 2021 with 878 yards and 12 touchdowns on 44 receptions. He had a 19.95 yards per catch average. Neyor’s NIL value went from $35,000 to $339,000 since his transfer. He was the No. 9-ranked player in the portal.

10. Jayden Reed, Michigan State

Averaging 17.39 yards per catch in 2021, Jayden Reed has the opportunity to become a household name this season. He posted 1,026 yards on 59 catches with 10 touchdowns for the Spartans as a junior. He has an NIL value of $375,000.
