With less than 24 hours until National Signing Day, much is still to be played out with the nation’s top recruits in the 2022 class.

Texas A&M is in the midst of a battle with Georgia and Alabama for the nation’s top recruiting class. But things are far from decided. As we head toward the biggest recruiting day of the year, 32 of the top 100 prospects have yet to make their pledges public, including nine five-star prospects. And a number of committed prospects in are the thick of battles between multiple schools to land their services.

The battles over few weeks for their signatures will feature college football’s biggest names: Georgia, Alabama, Ohio State, Texas A&M, Texas, and many other top programs. And which program ends up with the No. 1 overall class will be determined by the uncommitted prospects on this list.

5-star LB Harold Perkins

On3 Consensus: No. 3
Schools Considering: Texas A&M, Texas, LSU
The Skinny: Harold Perkins has led one of the most unpredictable recruitments among this year’s elite prospects. The Cypress (Texas) Cy Park product said earlier this season that he only wanted to play in the SEC, and then received an offer from Michigan State. He was expected to visit East Lansing, but then didn’t. As of now, Texas A&M, Texas, and LSU look to be the real contenders. He’s originally from New Orleans, and with Brian Kelly taking over at LSU, they could be a major threat. If he signs tomorrow, it will almost certainly be with the Aggies. If he waits until February, LSU just might be able to steal him. The Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) gives Texas A&M a 96.5 percent chance to get Perkins.

5-star DB Domani Jackson

On3 Consensus: No. 5
Schools Considering: Alabama, USC
The Skinny: After recently decommitting from USC, Domani Jackson put the Trojans in his top two along with Alabama. Lincoln Riley’s hiring at USC has made a major impact here, and the Trojans appear to be the favorite for the nation’s best defensive back. The RPM has swung drastically toward the Trojans recently, giving them an 88.5 percent chance to land him.

5-star EDGE Shemar Stewart

On3 Consensus: No. 7
Schools Considering: Georgia, Texas A&M, Ohio State
The Skinny: Opa Locka (Fla.) Monsignor Pace EDGE Shemar Stewart is the third-best defensive player on the board. LSU was thought to be the favorite over the summer, then that switched to nearby Miami early this fall. Both the Aggies and Bulldogs have put together elite defensive classes are hopeful Stewart can be the cherry on top. The RPM heavily favors the Aggies for Stewart, giving them a 74 percent chance.

5-star OT Devon Campbell

On3 Consensus: No. 10
Schools Considering: Texas, USC, Oklahoma
The Skinny: Oklahoma and Texas appeared to be the leaders at different points, but it’s the Longhorns who look to be in pole position here after the shakeup on Oklahoma’s coaching staff. RPM lists the Longhorns as an overwhelming favorite with a 92 percent chance to add him to their class.

5-star EDGE Marvin Jones Jr.

On3 Consensus: No. 15
Schools Considering: Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, Ohio State
The Skinny: The fight for Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) American Heritage EDGE Marvin Jones Jr. doesn’t appear to have a clear leader. Jones took a visit to Alabama in November in what was a loaded visitor group. He’s already been to Georgia, Florida State and Oklahoma. He’s given no real indication one way or another about where his mind his at. Georgia, Alabama and Florida State look to be the real contenders. Alabama has a 64.4 percent chance of landing Jones, according to the RPM.

5-star CB Denver Harris

On3 Consensus: No. 17
Schools Considering: Texas, Texas A&M, Alabama
The Skinny: Houston (Texas) North Shore defensive back Denver Harris initially considered committing in September but opted to hold off. Alabama has been at the top for some time now for Harris, and had he committed this fall, it almost certainly would’ve been to the Tide. But Texas A&M and Texas look to in a heavyweight fight for his signature.

5-star OT Josh Conerly Jr.

On3 Consensus: No. 22
Schools Considering: Miami, Oregon, Oklahoma, Michigan, USC
The Skinny: Seattle (Wash.) Rainier Beach tackle Josh Conerly Jr. has long been the apple of Washington’s eye. But with the Huskies’ major struggles this season, the door has opened for other programs to get involved. USC has gotten very involved, and new Miami coach Mario Cristobal (formerly at Oregon) just extended an offer. Conerly is expected to make his announcement at the All-American Bowl on Jan. 8.

5-star S Daylen Everette

On3 Consensus: No. 22
Schools Considering: Georgia, Alabama
The Skinny: After he decommitted from Clemson, Jihaad Campbell has largely been down to two schools: Alabama and Georgia. He took an official visit to see the Crimson Tide this weekend, but the Bulldogs had him on campus in June and will push strongly.

5-star DL Anthony Lucas

On3 ConsensusNo. 27
Schools Considering: Alabama, Texas A&M
The Skinny: After striking out on most of its defensive line targets, Alabama has now turned its attention to Scottsdale (Ariz.) Chaparral’s Anthony Lucas. He’s taken unofficial visits this fall to each of the contending schools, and his most recent was to see the Crimson Tide this past weekend. Texas A&M appears to have the momentum at this point.

4-star S Jacoby Mathews

On3 Consensus: No. 33
Schools Considering: Texas A&M, LSU
The Skinny: The race remains open for Ponchatoula (La.) High safety Jacoby Mathews. In-state LSU has been considered the favorite at different points, but it’s unknown what Brian Kelly’s hiring means here. Alabama is expected to get a visit before the early signing period opens, and Texas A&M is in the mix as well. Mathews has been to LSU’s campus numerous times over the past few years, and unless the hiring is a total disaster, the Tigers and Aggies appear to be the top two. Mathews announced Tuesday that he will be waiting until February to sign, though.

4-star S Kamari Wilson

On3 Consensus: No. 36
Schools Considering: Georgia, Florida
The Skinny: LSU and Texas A&M have been names bandied about for a while now with Fort Pierce (Fla.) IMG Academy safety Kamari Wilson. But the odds-on favorite is Georgia. The ‘Dawgs already landed his high school teammate, Bear Alexander, and Wilson has been vocal on Twitter about Georgia. He recently took an official visit to Florida, but it would be a pretty huge upset if someone else steals Wilson away from Kirby Smart and Co. The RPM gives the Bulldogs an 89.1 percent chance of snagging him.

4-star WR Shazz Preston

On3 Consensus: No. 39
Schools Considering: Alabama, LSU
The Skinny: According to Simmons, Shazz Preston was in Tuscaloosa a couple of weeks ago for the LSU game and one source said, “Alabama may be the team to beat now.” Preston took an official visit this past weekend to Tuscaloosa, and while the Bulldogs and Tigers aren’t out of it, Alabama is making a strong case. Alabama is the overwhelming favorite, according to the RPM.

4-star EDGE Enai White

On3 Consensus: No. 46
Schools Considering: Texas A&M, Alabama, Georgia
The Skinny: Enai White hasn’t talked about his recruitment much recently, in large part because he’s focused on his team’s state championship run. His high school coach says he hears from Alabama often, and he’s already taken official visits to both Alabama and Georgia. He visited Texas A&M this past weekend, and the Aggies have the momentum. Texas A&M has a 95.1 percent chance of landing him, according to the RPM.

4-star S Zion Branch

On3 Consensus: No. 50
Schools Considering: Ohio State, USC
The Skinny: Ohio State has been considered the major contender for Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman safety Zion Branch for quite some time. But the four-star did visit Alabama this weekend and will head to Clemson to next. The Tigers are a little late, but trying to make up ground quickly. USC has long been involved, and Lincoln Riley’s decision to lead the Trojans could help them make a major move. USC has an 81.7 percent chance of landing him, according to the RPM.

4-star EDGE Jihaad Campbell

On3 Consensus: No. 55
Schools Considering: Texas A&M, Alabama
The Skinny: After decommitting from Clemson following Brent Venables’ departure, Jihaad Campbell has received heavy interest from the Crimson Tide and Aggies. Texas A&M looks to be the favorite but don’t count out Nick Saban.

4-star IOL Earnest Greene

On3 Consensus: No. 60
Schools Considering: Alabama, Georgia
The Skinny: Earnest Greene named his top four schools, and the Crimson Tide, Bulldogs, Buckeyes and Longhorns are still in contention. Greene made an unofficial visit to Alabama, according to On3’s Chad Simmons. And the Tide appear to be trending late. Alabama has a 97.2 percent chance of landing Greene, according to the RPM.

4-star LB Shemar James

On3 Consensus: No. 62
Schools Considering: Alabama, Georgia
The Skinny: Shemar James is one of the country’s best linebackers still available, and it appears to be an SEC-centric race for his commitment. Both schools recently did in-home visits with James, who was previously committed to the Florida under Dan Mullen. Georgia has a 77.1 percent chance of landing James, according to the RPM.

4-star IOL Kam Dewberry

On3 Consensus: No. 64
Schools Considering: Texas A&M, Texas, Oklahoma
The Skinny: Kam Dewberry just named his top three schools, and the Sooners, Aggies and Longhorns are still very much in contention. Oklahoma’s uncertain coaching situation could play a big factor, and Texas is pitching him the chance to be a Day 1 starter. Still, Texas A&M is going to be hard to beat with the momentum they’ve built. The Aggies have a 98.7 percent chance of landing Dewberry, according to the RPM.

4-star RB TreVonte’ Citizen

On3 Consensus: No. 67
Schools Considering: LSU, Auburn
The Skinny: TreVonte’ Citizen was considered an LSU lock before the firing of Ed Orgeron. Now, Auburn has pushed to get in the mix for the four-star running back. LSU’s hiring of Brian Kelly means the Tigers have a head coach to recruit to, and Baton Rouge has serious hometown appeal to Citizen. Auburn has a 64.7 percent chance of landing him, according to the RPM.

4-star DL Omari Abor

On3 Consensus: No. 68
Schools Considering: Texas A&M, Ohio State
The Skinny: From On3’s Chad Simmons: “The word is Ohio State is recruiting Omari Abor the hardest and there is a level of confidence the Buckeyes can get this talent out of Texas. Others are in the mix, including Texas A&M, but the buzz is around Ohio State. Abor will announce at the Under Armour All-America game.” Ohio State has a 95.6 percent chance of landing Abor, according to the RPM.

4-star TE Jake Johnson

On3 Consensus: No. 69
Schools Considering: Texas A&M, South Carolina
The Skinny: Jake Johnson was set to sign with LSU until his older brother Max, announced his intentions to transfer. The two were rumored to be a package deal to South Carolina, but the Gamecocks just landed Spencer Rattler. According to Simmons, Texas A&M appears to be the most likely destination for the pair.

4-star WR Kevin Coleman

On3 Consensus: No. 71
Schools Considering: Florida State, USC, Miami
The Skinny: Once considered a Florida State lean, Kevin Coleman has become a bit of mystery lately. He has taken visits to each of the three schools in legitimate contention, with the most recent being to Miami. USC already added four-star wideout Raleek Brown and has its sights set on former Notre Dame commit C.J. Williams. But getting Coleman will be a tough fight with the two Florida schools.

4-star DL Khurtiss Perry

On3 Consensus: No. 75
Schools Considering: Auburn, Alabama, UCF
The Skinny: It’s a two-team race for Khurtiss Perry, who publicly named Auburn as his leader last weekend after visiting for the Iron Bowl. He visited Alabama in mid-November and said that the Tide have really ramped up their recruitment of him. Whether that will be enough to fend off Auburn remains to be seen. Perry is expected to announce his commitment on Dec. 15. Alabama has a 93 percent chance of landing Perry, according to the RPM.

4-star DL Quency Wiggins

On3 Consensus: No. 77
Schools Considering: Alabama, Florida, LSU
The Skinny: Quency Wiggins recently named his top three, with the Crimson Tide, Gators and Tigers making the cut. He has built strong relationships with each program, but the hometown Tigers look to have the edge. LSU has a 97.9 percent chance of landing Wiggins, according to the RPM.

4-star DB Azareye’h Thomas

On3 Consensus: No. 81
Schools Considering: Florida, LSU, Georgia Tech, Florida State
The Skinny: Azareyeh Thomas had a top three entering the season of FloridaLSU, and Georgia Tech. The Gators and Tigers made changes at head coach and the Yellow Jackets have fired the coaches that have been recruiting Thomas. Florida State has quietly slid into contention. The RPM gives the Seminoles a 90.8 percent chance to land him.

4-star EDGE Cyrus Moss

On3 Consensus: No. 83
Schools Considering: Miami, Arizona State, USC
The Skinny: Cyrus Moss named as his final three of Alabama, Arizona State and Oregon a couple of weeks ago. But the hiring of Lincoln Riley at USC could be a game-changer. Moss traveled cross-country last weekend to visit Miami and USC, and it looks to be down to those two.

4-star ATH Kendrick Law

On3 Consensus: No. 86
Schools Considering: Alabama, Florida State, LSU, Texas
The Skinny: Kendrick Law took unofficial and official visits to Texas and LSU recently. Each of the four schools he’s considering have also done in-home visits with him recently. Both Alabama and LSU feel optimistic about landing him, Simmons says. The Crimson Tide have an 81.3 percent chance to land him, according to the RPM.

4-star EDGE Derrick Moore

On3 Consensus: No. 87
Schools Considering: Michigan, Oklahoma, Ole Miss
The Skinny: Derrick Moore appeared to be solid with Oklahoma until Lincoln Riley left for USC. Michigan quickly jumped to the top of the list, and the Wolverines had him on campus last weekend for an official visit. This one is Jim Harbaugh’s to lose. The Wolverines have a 92.8 percent chance to land him, according to the RPM.

4-star CB Earl Little Jr.

On3 Consensus: No. 88
Schools Considering: Alabama, Miami, Florida State
The Skinny: Alabama has been considered the favorite for quite some time with Earl Little Jr. But with Miami’s hiring of Mario Cristobal, the Hurricanes have at least made things interesting. Little’s dad played at The U, and he included them in his top seven schools list back in May. The Crimson Tide have a 97.1 percent chance to land him, according to the RPM.

4-star RB Jovontae Barnes

On3 Consensus: No. 93
Schools Considering: USC, Oklahoma
The Skinny: According to Simmons, Jovantae Barnes is still considered an Oklahoma lean, but Lincoln Riley has made things interesting. The Sooners already have a running back committed with Gavin Sawchuk, and USC has momentum with a pair of other Nevadans: Cyrus Moss and Zion Branch. Oklahoma has a 90.7 percent chance to land him, according to the RPM.

Since the last publication of this list, four-star safety Xavier Nwankpa committed to Iowa over Notre Dame and Ohio State.
