Jaden Toombs, a four-star center in the 2025 class, has committed to SMU and head coach Andy Enfield, he announced. He becomes the program’s highest-ranked recruit in over a decade.

According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Toombs is the No. 43 overall prospect in the 2025 cycle. He’s also the No. 4 center prospect. The On3 Industry Ranking is a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

The 6-foot-9 center out of Dallas-based Dynamic Prep chose the Mustangs over Alabama, Miami, Texas Tech, and Vanderbilt.

Scouting Report

“Jaden Toombs is a strong presence on the block. He knows who he is as a player, and he goes out and does that. There is some touch there; he can step out and knock down a catch-and-shoot three. He sets good screens to get his guys open. He is a good area rebounder, securing possessions in traffic. He is a solid athlete. Like to see him develop a more dynamic offensive approach, but there are some winning qualities.” – On3’s Jamie Shaw
