Since Coach Jon Scheyer announced his role as the future head coach of the Duke Blue devils, he has done a masterful job recruiting talent around the country.

With the commitment of five-star center Derrick Lively II, four-star shooting guard Jaden Schutt, five-star small forward  Dariq Whitehead, and five-star center Kyle Filipowski, it’s time to break down who else could commit to Duke and end up in Durham.

Top recruits Duke is still targeting.

Mark Mitchell

Mark Mitchell is a 6-foot-8 forward and the No.8 ranked player in the class of 2022 from Wichita, KS. Duke already acquired two big men in the 2022 class, but neither have Mithcell’s high motor. Mitchell is an elite slasher that would fit perfectly into the blue devil offense. He has visited Duke in June of this year and plans to make another visit during their midnight madness event. Mitchell is still considering Kansas, Missouri, and UCLA and has no date set for his commitment.

JJ Starling

JJ Starling is a 6-foot-4 combo guard out of Baldwinsville, NY. He is ranked No.41 in the class of 2022.  Duke has many bigs already committed but only one guard. Starling could be the perfect complement guard to the highly touted big men already committed. Starling has no date for commitment but considers Syracuse, Notre Dame North Eastern, Maryland, and Stanford.

Anthony Black

Anthony Black is a 6- foot- 7 combo guard out of Duncanville, TX. He is ranked No.18 in the class of 2022.  Black is a big guard who has the ability to break the offensive play can get his shot. He could thrive in the fast-paced Blue devil offense. He has yet to take a visit to Duke but is in constant communication. Black is also considering TexasGonzagaOklahoma State, and Iowa State
