Trevon Diggs on Jalen Hurts: It's kinda personal every time I see him
A number of former Alabama Crimson Tide players will face off against each other in the National Football League this weekend, as the Dallas Cowboys face off against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday Night Football. Dallas defensive back Trevon Diggs will face his old teammates, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts and wide receiver DeVonta Smith. The game is a highly anticipated matchup, since the Eagles are currently the lone undefeated team in the NFL and the Cowboys’ impressive front seven has carried to them to an impressive 4-1 record thus far.

Trevon Diggs shares his thoughts on facing Jalen Hurts
“Jalen Hurts is really good. He’s just my buddy. I just compete. Every time I see him, I want to beat him, just like he wants to beat me. So, it’s kind of personal every time I see him,” Diggs said on NFL Network’s “NFL Total Access”.
Jalen Hurts has made improvements from Year 1 to Year 2 at the quarterback position for the Philadelphia Eagles. The leap he’s made in his second season is a big reason why the Eagles are currently 5-0. Sure, they’ve had a little bit of luck along the way, but Hurts has looked good. Thus far the former Alabama and Oklahoma product has completed 67.9 percent of his passes for 1,359 yards, while tossing in four touchdowns and two interceptions. As a runner, he has 68 carries for 266 rushing yards, while finding the end zone six times on the ground.
The Eagles’ offensive line was battered and banged up against the Arizona Cardinals last weekend and that matchup against the Cowboys’ front seven–will be one of the most critical matchups to watch. The health of Landon Dickerson, Jordan Mailata, and center Jason Kelce will all play an important role on Sunday, as the Eagles prepare to face one of the league’s most dominant front sevens featuring Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence.
Diggs also shared his thoughts about going up against the Eagles receivers and his old teammate, DeVonta Smith. “A.J. Brown and DeVonta [Smith] are two very good wide receivers. So, we’re gonna make sure we do our job,” Diggs said on Wednesday night.
Diggs has recorded at least one interception in every game during his NFL career that he’s played against the Philadelphia Eagles. He’s coming off a rough outing last weekend in which he was flame roasted by Rams superstar wide receiver Cooper Kupp. It should be an exciting game to watch Sunday night!
