Tyler Thompson, KSR Editor-in-Chief, wins 2021 Don Meyer Leadership Award
On3 celebrates a team member each month with the Don Meyer Leadership Award, recognizing the staffer who best demonstrates leadership and achievement within the organization. The recipient is honored within the company and also receives a cash prize.
At the end of each year, we award a winner who represented the company with leadership, dedication, and innovative thinking all year long. In 2021, Tyler Thompson, Kentucky Sports Radio‘s Editor-in-Chief, was the clear winner.
The first time I met Tyler, I came away incredibly impressed with how passionate she was about KSR, continuing its legacy and building the No. 1 fan site in the industry.
When she joined our network, I had very high expectations. She has exceeded all of them.
“From the first day she was hired at KSR a decade ago, Tyler has been one of the hardest working, most conscientious employees I have ever encountered,” Matt Jones said.
“Those traits are terrific enough of themselves but when you combine them with the talent and intellect Tyler possesses, you have a unique and outstanding individual. I can’t think of anyone who more embodies the best of modern sports media than Tyler and I congratulate her on an award she so richly deserves.”

In almost 30 years of working with fansites, she is easily one of the best I’ve ever worked with. Working alongside Matt Jones, Drew, and the entire team, it is easy to see why Kentucky Sports Radio is the model for what we are trying to build in our fansite business.
