Seth Trimble is a four-star guard out of Menomonee Falls, (WI.) who is committed to the North Carolina Tar Heels. Trimble joined the And 1 show and discussed life, new commitments in 2022 Tar Heel class, and what he’s been up to the past few weeks. We started off the podcast with the hardest question of the day.

Question: Drake or Kanye’s Album?

Seth Trimble: “Truthfully, I like both. Both artists are unique in their way. Drake has the hits, but Kanye has the complete musical experience. If I had to just choose one it would be CLB Drakes album. “

Question: Seth for the people who don’t know, how would you describe your game?

Seth Trimble: “I would say I’m an all-around point guard. I can do it all. Many people say I’m a three-level scorer, but truthfully, I like to drive more often than not.”

Question: What was the deciding factor for you choosing UNC over Michigan, USC, or Virginia? Did your brother play a considerable role?

Seth Trimble: “Honestly, he didn’t. He took a step back and just said, when you’re on campus, you’re going to feel it and it’s going to feel right. And that’s precisely what happened. I wasn’t really considering any other schools. I had a top five that I cut to three but in my heart, I feel like I always knew”

(Trimble’s brother J.P. Tokoto played for the Tar Heels from 2012-2015 averaged 8.3 points and 4.3 assists per game and was known for his dunking ability and defensive prowess)

Question: Who was your host on your visit?

Seth Trimble: “Puff Johnson and Justin McCoy. They were good guys and just showed me an all-around great time.”

Question: What is your impression of coach Hubert Davis?

Seth Trimble: “Honestly, from the moment I met coach Davis, I was blown away with how great of a guy he is. Even though he hasn’t won any games, I believe he is a great coach already. “

Question: Well, one thing you can say is he is a great recruiter. This week, with Tyler Nickel’s commitment, how do you feel about your class who now features Will Shaver, Jalen Washington, Nickel and yourself?

Seth Trimble: “I have 100% confidence in this group. We can do anything we put our minds to, even a national championship. ”

Question: We’ve all seen the new legislation that the NCAA has passed that allows athletes to profit off of their name, image and likeness. You have players on your new UNC team who already signed significant deals. How do you feel about this recent rule change?

Seth Trimble: “Honestly, I like it. I have done much with it myself, but I am excited for what new opportunities that arrive at the next level.”

Question: Do you have any concern that it might mess up a team dynamic if teammates start making more money than others, or even jealousy in the locker room?

Seth Trimble: “That’s a good point. I never thought about it like that. Truthfully I’m just going to focus on everything on the court and let the endorsements and the media take care of themselves.”
