LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – The Under Armour All-America Game practices continued on Sunday afternoon. Around 100 of the nation’s top football prospects from the 2023 recruiting cycle were at ESPN’s Wide World of Sports in Florida for the week’s first practice. On3 was on hand to take in the action.

Practices will run until Monday. The game is to be played on January 3 at 5 P.M. eastern at Camping World Stadium in Orlando.

The roster is divided into two teams – Team Speed and Team Phantom. Both teams had simultaneous padded practices on adjacent fields. Contact was limited, but we were able to get a thorough first look at prospects as they went through drills, 1-on-1, 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 work.

Four blue-chip quarterbacks are on hand in Orlando. Here’s On3’s ranking of the quarterbacks after the second full-speed practice of the week on Sunday.

1. Jackson Arnold – Oklahoma

Jackson Arnold was once again the top quarterback on hand at Under Armour. The Five-Star Plus+ signal caller was on the money for most of the practice, delivering accurate, well-thrown passes with zip. Arnold showed the ability to layer his passes in red zone and goal line situations. He had a number of nice fade and back shoulder throws in that area of the field. Arnold also had a strong session in the team period, hitting a touchdown in the flats, catching a pass for touchdown off a ‘Philly Special’ trick play, and running in another score off a zone read keeper. The lone blemish was an interception thrown to Notre Dame linebacker signee Jaiden Ausberry, on what may have been a miscommunication with the wide receiver. Overall it was another impressive day from the Oklahoma signee.

Five-Star Plus+ prospect, Arnold checks in at No. 12 overall prospect and No. 3 quarterback in the On300.

2. Jaden Rashada – Florida

Jaden Rashada turned in a solid practice on Sunday. The Florida signee continued to show his considerable arm talent, driving the football over the middle and downfield with ease. As noted on nearly every occasion we’ve seen Rashada throw – the ball pops out of his hand with palpable velocity. Rashada will have to continue improving his consistency and accuracy and did not layer his throws as well as Jackson Arnold, but we still thought he had a nice practice on Sunday. Rashada had some high-level throws where he stuck the ball on receivers in 1-on-1’s and made a handful of plays during 7-on-7 and the team period.

Rashada checks in at No. 151 overall and as the No. 11 quarterback in the On300.

3. JJ Kohl – Iowa State

JJ Kohl‘s ability to push the ball downfield and allow receivers to adjust and make plays on the football stood out during Sunday’s practice. The Iowa State signee began the day by throwing a strike to five-star athlete Nyckoles Harbor up the seam during the 1-on-1 period. Kohl continued to display good ball placement later on in the 7-on-7 period. Things didn’t exactly end on a high note for Kohl, as he appeared to struggle a bit down the stretch during team period. However, he did show the ability to extend plays and move the chains with his legs when he was unable to find open receivers.

Kohl ranks as the No. 248 overall prospect and No. 18 quarterback in the On300.

4. Avery Johnson – Kansas State

Avery Johnson displayed a quick release and accurate ball throughout the 7-on-7 and team periods. However, he was lacking a bit when it came time to push the ball downfield. Johnson struggled to put enough air on his deeper throws in order to prevent longer corners from getting a hand on his passes. This resulted in multiple pass breakups and batted balls. With that said, Johnson did show off his escapability and plus athleticism during the team period, scampering into the end zone for a 20-yard touchdown to finish off the day.

Johnson is the No. 160 overall prospect and No. 13 quarterback in the On300.
