Georgia, Alabama lead the way as championship favorites

To no surprise, Alabama and Georgia are the two teams with the best odds to win the 2022 National Championship at +175. They are the top two teams in every major poll after Week 4 as well. Oregon has the third best odds at +1600, and the Ducks also sit third in most polls.

Ohio State might be a little bit of a surprise in the fourth spot. The Buckeyes have shown struggles at times during the season, although they still sit at 3-1 with the only loss coming against Oregon. Ohio State is ranked outside the top ten in the latest AP Poll. Oklahoma is another team that has shown struggles early on, but the Sooners still sit at 4-0. The Sooners snuck by with a 16-13 victory over West Virginia on Saturday.

Four teams are listed with +4000 odds to win the 2022 National Championship. Three teams are from the Big Ten and the fourth is Cincinnati. Michigan, Iowa, and Penn State are all undefeated at 4-0, and Cincinnati is currently 3-0.

After the top nine favorites, there are a few surprises. Texas cracks the top ten with +5000 odds despite being unranked in the AP Poll. Ole Miss (+5000) and Notre Dame (+6000) follow Texas. Behind them, though, arguably the biggest surprise on the list is North Carolina. The Tar Heels have fallen to 2-2 on the season and are unranked. Vegas still lists North Carolina among the teams with the best odds to win the championship at +7000.

Behind UNC, three teams follow with +8000 odds: LSU, Virginia Tech, and Clemson. LSU and Virginia Tech both sit at 3-1 on the season, but Clemson is currently 2-2 and barely holding onto Top 25 status in the polls. The Tigers lost to NC State in Week 4.

Rounding out the favorites are four teams with +10000 odds to win the championship. Florida, NC State, and Pittsburgh all crack the list, and all three teams sit at 3-1 on the season. Michigan State also has +10000 odds, and the Spartans are a perfect 4-0 on the year.
