With nearly all of the top 2023 prospects either signed or committed already, it’s time to look ahead to 2024 and where teams lie following several early commitments from some of the top players in the country.

The top 10 of the 2024 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings can be found below.

These rankings are as of Jan. 10 at 8 a.m. C.T.

1. Alabama (94.992)
1 five-star | 4 four-stars | 5 total recruits
Top Commit: Pinson (Ala.) Clay-Chalkville athlete Jaylen Mbakwe, No. 14 in On3 Consensus
Summary: The Crimson Tide maintain the top spot in the 2024 class rankings thanks to commitments from three top-100 prospecys in five-star athlete Jaylen Mbakwe, four-star quarterback Julian Sayin and four-star-receiver Perry Thompson. They also have commitments from four-star tight end Martavious Collins and four-star linebacker Sterling Dixon.

2. Georgia (94.823)
6 four-stars | 1 three-star | 7 total recruits
Top Commit: Moultrie (Ga.) Colquitt County tight end Landen Thomas, No. 24 in On3 Consensus
Summary: Four-star safety Peyton Woodyard became the latest four-star commit for the Bulldogs announcing his decision at the All-American Game. He joins players like Thomas, four-star linebacker Demarcus Riddick, four-star wide receiver Ny Carr, four-star running back Tovani Mizell and four-star quarterback Ryan Puglisi.

3. Ohio State (94.650)
1 five-star | 2 four-stars | 3 total recruits
Top Commit: Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna Prep wide receiver Jeremiah Smith, No. 2 in On3 Consensus
Summary: The Buckeyes already have another solid start in building up their receivers thanks to a commitment from the nation’s No. 2 player in Smith. They may have lost a commitment from five-star quarterback Dylan Raiola in December but they still have commitments from four-star interior offensive lineman Ian Moore and four-star linebacker Garrett Stover.

4. Notre Dame (93.724)
6 four-stars | 1 three-star | 7 total recruits
Top Commit: Saline (Mich.) quarterback CJ Carr, No. 33 in On3 Consensus
Summary: Marcus Freeman’s Fighting Irish continue to build into their top-five class thanks to commitments from Carr, four-star wide receiver Cam Williams, four-star running back Aneyas Williams, four-star tight end Jack Larsen, four-star interior offensive lineman Peter Jones and four-star defensive lineman Owen Wafle.

5. Louisville (93.646)
1 five-star | 1 four-star | 2 total recruits
Top Commit: Miami (Fla.) Columbus linebacker TJ Capers, No. 10 in On3 Consensus
Summary: The Cardinals bolted up the board from 32nd to 5th thanks to a commitment from Capers during the All-American Bowl. They also have a commitment from four-star running back Isaac Brown.

6. Florida (93.602)
3 four-stars | 3 total recruits
Top Commit: Willis (Texas) quarterback DJ Lagway, No. 21 in On3 Consensus
Summary: Commitments from Lagway and four-star top-50 linebacker Myles Graham have the Gators 2024 class off to a hot start. They also boast a commitment from four-star running back Chauncey Bowens.

7. Florida State (92.560)
5 four-stars | 2 three-stars | 8 total recruits
Top Commit: Albany (Ga.) Dougherty running back Kameron Davis, No. 31 in On3 Consensus
Summary: Of Florida State’s five four-star commitments, two are in the top-100 with Davis at No. 31 and safety Jordan Pride at No. 80. The Seminoles also have a commitment from the No. 20 quarterback in the 2024 class Luke Kromenhoek.

8. LSU (92.045)
6 four-stars | 2 three-stars | 8 total recruits
Top Commit: Bellaire (Texas) Shadow Creek safety Maurice Williams, No. 113 in On3 Consensus
Summary: Brian Kelly’s 2024 class boasts five of their six four-star commitments as top-200 players. Williams ranks the highest followed closely by quarterback Colin Hurley (No. 122), athlete Joseph Stone (No. 160), tight end Tayvion Galloway (No. 196) and cornerback Zion Ferguson (No. 197).

9. Michigan State (91.957)
3 four-stars | 3 total recruits
Top Commit: River Rouge (Mich.) wide receiver Nick Marsh, No. 57 in On3 Consensus
Summary: The Spartans only have three commitments in their 2024 class but all three are four-star commitments including a top-100 player in Marsh, a top-200 player in cornerback Jamari Howard and a top-250 player in cornerback Jaylen Thompson.

10. Oregon (91.635)
3 four-stars | 1 three-star | 4 total recruits
Top Commit: Long Beach (Calif.) Millikan wide receiver Jordan Anderson, No. 88 in On3 Consensus
Summary: Dan Lanning currently has a top-10 class thanks to a pair of commitments from four-star receivers in Anderson and Tyseer Denmark and four-star tight end A.J. Pugliano.
