USC adds Robert Morris transfer Kam Woods to roster as midseason addition

USC has added Robert Morris transfer Kam Woods to its roster as a midseason addition, a source told On3.

The 6-foot-2 senior guard averaged 14.9 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game during the 2024–25 season at Robert Morris.

USC is Woods’ sixth school in six years. The Bessemer, Alabama native began his college career at Troy in the 2020–21 season, where he averaged 10.3 points per game as a freshman. He then transferred to Northwest Florida State College for the 2021–22 season before returning to Division I with North Carolina A&T in 2022–23, averaging 17.3 points per game. After that season, Woods moved on to NC State, his first high-major stop, where his role was limited. He later landed at Robert Morris, where he earned all-league honors.

In March 2025, Woods entered the transfer portal for the final time and will now suit up for the Trojans during the second half of the season.

The move comes as USC looks to address backcourt depth following the season-ending shoulder injury to star guard Rodney Rice, who was averaging 20.3 points per game. The Trojans have also been without five-star freshman Alijah Arenas, though he is expected to make his debut around mid-January.
