Detroit Lions running back D’Andre Swift made an incredibly athletic play late in their Monday night game, jumping cleanly over a defender. The second-year player from Georgia got his chance to showcase his ability as the game drew to a close.

Drafted by the Lions in 2020, Swift played in 13 games last season for Detroit and picked up eight touchdowns on the ground and two in the air. This season, the former Georgia star showed his athletic ability on primetime television against the Green Bay Packers.

In three years at Georgia, Swift ran for 2,885 yards and scored 25 total touchdowns for the Bulldogs. His effort and talent made him an early second-round draft pick, taken 35th overall by the Detroit Lions.

Running backs showing up

On a night where Swift made his incredible play, a fellow running back of his made headlines by chatting with his ex-teammates on the Packers.

Former Green Bay Packers running back Jamaal Williams was ready to play against his ex-teammates as the Detroit Lions came to play the Packers on Monday Night Football. Williams was seen chatting with his old quarterback Aaron Rodgers and cornerback Jaire Alexander before the game.

On the other side of the field, Packers running back Aaron Jones had a monster game on Monday, picking up four total touchdowns.

From the four-yard line, the Packers dialed up a play on their opening drive to bring Jones in motion to receive the ball. Rodgers received the snap and immediately tossed the ball forward on a pass that was nearly a handoff.

With some good outside blocking by the Packers, Jones’ speed got him into the endzone from an outside rushing attempt. The touchdown was the Packers’ first of the season and the first of four that Jones would pick up on the day.
