Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Fletcher Cox caught a fumbled pass by Dak Prescott in the endzone and made a fantastic catch to score the first touchdown for the Eagles. The defensive touchdown came after a Philadelphia interception on the one-yard line that backed the Cowboys up to their own endzone.

Fletcher Cox fumble recovery touchdown

Coming into their Monday night game with the Cowboys, the Eagles had not forced a single turnover on the season. After quarterback Jalen Hurts threw an interception on the Cowboys’ one-yard line, the next possession saw them backed up against their own goal line.

With great pressure from only their front four, the Eagles had Malik Jackson nearly reach Prescott as he prepared to throw. As Prescott dodged Jackson, he attempted to throw the ball and lost possession. Cox was right there while the ball came loose and wrestled possession away from everyone else for the touchdown.

Nick Sirianni gets first taste of rivalry

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni gets his first introduction into the rivalry with the Dallas Cowboys on Monday night. As if the matchup needed anymore juice, Sirianni is diving head first into it with his t-shirt choice in a press conference ahead of the game. Sirianni wore a shirt stating simply “Beat Dallas.”

“I’m sure they’re going to have a picture of this shirt on (their bulletin board). And that’s fine,” Sirianni said of his “Beat Dallas” shirt. “I can’t tell you how many times since I’ve been here having an interaction with a fan, it’s like, ‘Hey, beat Dallas.’”

Evidently, Sirianni has an interesting t-shirt collection. After wearing a Jalen Hurts shirt after a victory in Week 1, the Eagles first-year head coach is attempting to get his team riled up for Dallas.

Entering the season, the Eagles were widely predicted to finish last in the division. Now, they enter Monday’s game tied for first with Dallas and Washington. In a division that figures to be close once again, a win against the Cowboys would go a long way.

Moreover, the Eagles head coach’s shirt choice is definitely something that will be on the minds of Cowboys players. However, Dallas is giving the Eagles their own bulletin board material as well.
