On Friday night, former North Carolina standout Nassir Little made sure Houston Rockets center Alperen Sengun, would remember his name, after he sent in a dunk that sent Sengun falling to the ground.

Check it out below as Sengun tries to take the charge, while Little had other plans to send it home.

Little’s minutes have gone up for the Trailblazers in his third season with the team. This year he’s averaging 20 minutes a game for Portland. If he keeps making plays like the one above, he’ll definitely be earning more playing time.

In his lone season with UNC, Little averaged 14.3 points per game and 4.7 rebounds per game during the 2018-2019 season before turning pro. He scored 20 points or more in three games during that season (Washington, Virginia Tech, and Elon).

Nassir Little was a very highly touted high school prospect

In high school, he attended Orlando Christian Prep and he was rated as a five-star prospect. Little was named as the MVP of the McDonald’s All-American Game after scoring 28 points and he was also named Co-MVP of the 2018 Jordan Brand Classic.

In earning MVP honors of the McDonald’s All-American Game, he joined several other Tar Heels that accomplished the feat over the years: Justin Jackson (2014), James Michael McAdoo (Co-MVP in 2011), Harrison Barnes (Co-MVP in 2010), Ronald Curry (1998), Jerry Stackhouse (Co-MVP in 1993) and J.R. Reid (1986).

While at Orlando Christian Prep, he led his team to back-to-back state titles as a junior and senior. He averaged 20 points per game and nine rebounds per game during his senior year. He was also an incredibly bright student in the classroom and was named Salutatorian of his senior class. During his freshman and sophomore high school seasons, Little played at Oakleaf High School before transferring to Orlando Christian Prep Academy for his final two seasons.
