2027 commits

We are still over two years away from National Signing Day for the class of 2027, but that has not stopped a handful of recruits in that cycle from announcing their commitments to various Power 4 programs.

To this point, six 2027 prospects have pledged to a school — four of which rank in the initial 2027 Top 100.

Here is every committed recruit in the 2027 cycle.

RB Kemon Spell — Penn State

School: McKeesport (Pa.)
Top 100 Ranking: No. 7

“In terms of the skillset, Kemon Spell has every box checked when it comes to positional traits at the running back position. His ability as a runner between the tackles, outside runs and as a pass catcher is way beyond his years. Even as one of the younger 2027 prospects, his athleticism shines on the football field on both sides of the ball as a running back and defensive back for his high school program. At 5-foot-9, 190-plus pounds, he catches the ball effectively and has a knack for making explosive plays averaging 14 yards per carry and scoring 12 total touchdowns as a freshman. Excited for his physical and athletic development as he matures and grows throughout his high school career. The sky is the limit for him.” — Cody Bellaire, On3 National Scout

EDGE Zane Rowe — Oklahoma

School: Little Elm (Texas) Guyer
Top 100 Ranking: No. 61

“Zane Rowe from a physical and athletic standpoint is way ahead of the curve from most of his peers in the 2027 recruiting cycle. During the spring and summer camp circuit, every camp Rowe attended he lit on fire. He was a constant head-turner at camps during this past offseason due to his rare combination of size and overall athleticism. The Denton Guyer (TX) product has had limited high school production to this point but we expect him to step on the field his sophomore season with something to prove which will result in impressive production. He has all the physical and athletic tools to make an impact throughout his high school career and beyond.” — Cody Bellaire, On3 National Scout

EDGE Ba’Roc Willis — Alabama

School: Moody (Ala.)
Top 100 Ranking: No. 81

“Alabama has a pair of blue-chip EDGE prospects early on in the 2027 cycle. Both have shown promising signs as freshmen heading into their sophomore seasons. Ba’Roc Willis is a stout, powerful player on the edge. He’s around 6-foot-1.5, 235 pounds. Plays with very good strength, a high motor and you see him make a lot of plays on Friday nights. He was close to double-digit sacks as a freshman and plays kind of with advanced strength and physicality at this stage.” — Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings

EDGE JaBarrius Garror — Alabama

School: Mobile (Ala.) Vigor
Top 100 Ranking: No. 89

“JaBarrius Garror is a little different than Ba’Roc Willis. He’s more of a speed rusher, he’s around 6-foot-2, 200 pounds. A guy who kind of plays as a standup, pass-rushing linebacker. I think we’ll have to see how he physically develops over the next three years. Has a long time to continue growing, it’s worth noting that a lot of these prospects are 15 years old, so we’re going to see a lot of physical maturation from them. But JaBarrius Garror has shown really good burst off the edge and ability to disrupt as a speed rusher early on.” — Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings
