Rogers (Minn.) Rogers Senior three-star EDGE Wyatt Gilmore announced his top five schools on Sunday. They are Kansas State, Miami, Minnesota, Oklahoma and Oregon.

Gilmore is the No. 631 overall prospect and No. 41 EDGE in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 4 player in Minnesota.

The 6-foot-4, 245-pound pass rusher has visited each of his finalists this spring. He saw Oklahoma on April 22, Minnesota on April 15, Kansas State on April 4, Oregon on March 21 and Miami on March 4.

Gilmore is returning to the Hurricanes on June 2 for an official visit. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Miami is leading for his commitment at 35.6%.

“I think it’s just the people there,” Gilmore said on May 11 about why he is officially visiting the Hurricanes. “Just the fact that I’d be getting coached by Jason Taylor is definitely a big part of it… I just can’t wait for the official.”

“It (was) a really great visit,” he also shared on March 14 about his unofficial. “I don’t think it could have gone better… I just think I (left) knowing the coaches a lot better and having a good relationship with the coaches because that’s one of the things I look for most in a school: building a good connection with the coaches and liking the coaches, and I definitely love them here.”

Gilmore discusses two of his other finalists

Kansas State: “Getting to watch the coaches coach the players was something I liked about practice,” Gilmore told Drew Galloway of K-State Online on April 6. “I love the tempo and they don’t stand around and waste time. Them boys get after it.”

“I really like how they run the strength and conditioning program and the staff turns them into beasts,” he also shared. “The strength and conditioning staff went extremely in-depth and had a very good presentation.”

Oregon: “I really liked the coaching staff at Oregon,” Gilmore told Justin Hopkins of Scoop Duck on March 19. “They have some really good defensive minds and that really stood out to me. I feel like they would be able to give me a lot of coaching because they know my position.”

“They were already high up since I got the offer, but this really helped,” he added. “I really liked my visit to Oregon.”
