Arch Manning just wrapped up the most watched recruitment in recent memory. But his NIL value is just starting to take off. The grandson of Archie, son of Cooper and nephew of Peyton and Eli announced his commitment to Texas last Thursday.
Before he made the highly-anticipated decision, the On3 NIL Valuation system gave the quarterback a $3.1 million evaluation. But since he made the commitment, his value is starting to take off. The No. 1 ranked recruit and Five-Star Plus+ quarterback has an On3 NIL Valuation of $3.4 million.
That is a $297k growth since last week. Over the past 14 weeks, his On3 NIL Valuation has jumped 114% — the equivalent of $1.8 million.
Manning holds the top spot in On3’s NIL high school football rankings. He’s slated at No. 2 in On3’s NIL 100, which is the first of its kind and the defacto NIL ranking of the top 100 high school and college athletes ranked by market valuation.
Arch Manning has growing social media brand
The jump in Arch Manning’s On3 NIL Valuation comes for a multitude of reasons. The Isidore Newman standout has added 50k new followers on Twitter and 85k through Instagram since his commitment. He has a net 152k social media followers, bringing his On3 Per Post Value to $23,000.
And with his commitment, there is now a college fanbase fully invested in his future. While Manning may not have the largest social media following, his name recognition for a high school prospect is unprecedented. He also has the opportunity to partner with his superstar uncles in NIL ventures.
NIL experts expect to see Manning’s social media presence and On3 NIL Valuation grow even further in the coming months. That is especially true once he starts the high school football season again. He has already emerged as a presence in the Longhorns’ recruiting efforts; Texas gained five commitments in its 2023 class on Sunday.
What is the On3 NIL Valuation?
The On3 NIL Valuation is a tool that can be used to determine the fair market value of college and high school athletes. It then categorizes those athletes based on this evaluation. Importantly, this is not a way of tracking the deals that an individual player has received. The amount of money a player has made on NIL deals is likely going to be different from their On3 NIL Valuation.
There are three main categories that contribute to the On3 NIL Valuation. The first is social media. That’s because social media is the best tangible way to look at a player’s brand value. This is a way of showing how many people are interested in following a player and how much engagement their posts get. After that, the actual talent of the player involved, including their achievements and awards impact their value. From there, the endorsements and opportunities they have matter too. A player can be fantastic, but they have less access at a Mountain West school than a Big 12 one.
In the case of Arch Manning, he’s currently the perfect storm of a recruit in the NIL era. He has an excellent social media presence, is a top-tier talent and already has the name recognition before enrolling in college. Oh, and he’s going to Texas. It’s no wonder that Manning’s NIL value is soaring.
