Division Street, the Oregon Duck-focused NIL collective launched by NIKE co-founder Phil Knight, is auctioning exclusive Tinker Hatfield-designed Air Jordan VIII University of Oregon PEs to benefit Duck student-athletes.

Hatfield is one of the world’s most legendary sneaker designers and currently NIKE’s Vice President for Design and Special Projects.

Division Street is partnering with GOAT – the global platform known for selling vintage Air Jordans – with the auction. Through its offers feature, GOAT will auction off 200 pairs of coveted Air Jordan VIII University of Oregon PEs designed and developed for the men’s basketball program. In addition, 200 pairs designed and developed for the women’s basketball team will also be on the auction block.

Division Street said the exclusive Hatfield-designed Jordan PEs feature a Ducks-branded chenille patch. It also features suede accents and chromed metallic hardware across two unique colorways – “Gorge Green” and “Pure Platinum.”

“We’re thrilled to partner with GOAT to unlock another innovative way to benefit participating University of Oregon student-athletes,” Division Street CEO Rosemary St. Clair said in a news release. “Tinker Hatfield-designed Jordan player exclusives are typically some of the most coveted sneakers in the community. We look forward to working with GOAT to inspire the next generation while making a positive impact for U of O student-athletes.”

The auction will be hosted through GOAT’s offers section on GOAT.com and in the GOAT app. The auction starts at 10 a.m. PT Wednesday and continues through 11:59 p.m. PT on Friday. Proceeds from the auction go directly to Division Street, which supports student-athletes at the University of Oregon across sports.

Division Street one of most ambitious NIL collectives

Division Street was recently recognized by On3 as one of the top 20 most ambitious collectives in college sports. The collective ranked fourth overall on the list.

Knight joined up with a group of alumni to launch Division Street in September 2021. The goal is to help Oregon student-athletes monetize their brands.

The collection of top minds involved is virtually unrivaled.

Former Oregon star women’s basketball player Sabrina Ionescu is the chief athlete officer and senior advisor. St. Clair, former VP/GM of Nike Women, is the CEO. Rudy Chapa, former VP of sports marketing at Nike, is the chairman of the board. Division Street also enlists a creative company led by former Nike and Jordan brand executives.

“They are the model,” a source said. “They are built by the smartest sports marketers, so follow along. Everything they are doing is a lesson everyone can learn from.”
